I dont know if you remember my post a while ago
All of a sudden I was getting to be announced on the menu for all of my local channels. Me being a lazy bum was quite annoyed that I had to actually pick up a newspaper to see what shows were on my local channels. The nerve of that DIRECTV!
Well a few other DISers replied saying they had the same problem. (and yes I lost them right after the hurricane)
I was able to fix my problem by unplugging the DIRECTV box .I left it unplugged for a minute or two. It must be unplugged not just switched off. Unplugging it resets the box. When I plugged it back in the finding signal message came up. When it was at 100% I had my beautiful local channels back in my menu.
All of the information that I had programmed in the DIRECTV box did not get lost. I still had my user profiles etc.
I hope the DISers who were also having problems get to read this. I wanted to put it in my previous post but search is off.
Ahhh I will now return to my nice couch
