I checked the flights from BDL to MCO for OCT 21-27th on Delta, $274 r/t. I check the same dates on SWA...same price. Mmmmmm. I have not seen that before.

I think SW will even out more with the other airlines with special sales to supliment the cheap fares in the past.

Right now Airtran out of Baltimore is running $20 less than SW.

Until this upcoming trip, Delta was always around the same price as SW out of Louisville. Delta has more direct flights and at better times for us. This trip though, they couldn't beat SW. Not sure why Delta never dropped their prices to match SW but they didn't. After many trips to Orlando on Delta, this trip is the first time we've used SW. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will go smoothly. We got our tix for $157.10 rt each. Not too bad in this summer of HIGH airfare.

I'm already watching airfare for our December trip. Delta hasn't budged below $287 in the last three months. In fact today they were up to $295. So we may be flying SW again in December too. We'll just see what the prices are when the open the schedule out that far.

Noticed the same thing Joe. We also fly out of BDL and also noticed when SW had sales, the Delta fares decreased as well. Guess the trade-off for more expensive flights is now we have better choices for non-stop flight times!!
