This post does NOT refer to the content of the thread in the link below. What it refers to is several posters' attitudes toward a 14 year old. I find it dissapointing that people will say "Stop reading and go back to the teen board." on the CB. Disboards is for everyone, and this certainly isn't the only board that I visit. No flames, I just found this upsetting.

I know...more and more it seems as if respect becomes a rare and equally sacred thing. It shouldn't be rare, it should be a common characteristic.

I agree. I found that thread to be disappointing too. Sad. I'm not a teen, but I used to be one.

I enjoy reading their comments and stuff, but I've always found it awkward to post there. I think I 've posted there once.

The thing of it is, you shouldn't have to "gain" courage to post anywhere on any board. It shouldn't be like that. I'm sorry...heh, this is just turning my stomach.

They ARE dangerous! When I joined, I started posting on the Theme Parks and Restaurant Boards, but never the Teen Board. (To be honest, I didn't think it would be worth my time, but now, after posting here for a while, I find that it's loads of fun.) Anyway, I didn't reveal my age, and it is not in my profile, so no one has picked on me. I still go on the Theme Parks board the most, so my name is in the most places. I get respect there, but they don't know my age. I only just started posting on the CB, so I am not very used to it and its 'customs.' BTW, do you guys notice that some of the adults judge information that you give by the number of posts you have? I find that kind of annoying too.
