A Dream Offer for the ____ family!

We're so excited to hear you're thinking about taking your very first Walt Disney World® vacation! And you'll be excited to know that the Disney Parks DVD you ordered is on the way. But until it arrives, use the included offer and information to get a head start on the fun - there's plenty of it!

Since you're interested in coming in September, here's a great offer we picked out for you and your family. It's the best way to open a whole world of Disney dreams and possibilities.

Stay in a standard room at a select Disney Value Resort for just

$82* per night, plus tax.
Available for stays most nights 8/3-10/1/08.

*Minimum length-of-stay requirements may apply. Additional per-adult charges apply if more than two adults per room.

Or, if your vacation dates are flexible,
Save 30%** off the nondiscounted price.
Available for stays most nights 3/30-4/12/08, 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08.

I would call and ask about that 30% off!!

The postcard we got was different, but I applied it to a Deluxe. My friend go the same one as me, and applied it to a moderate.

In the above post with the offer, when Disney says Save 30% off the NONDISCOUNTED PRICE, say from August 10th, does it mean the "value season rate which is offered during August 10th" or does it mean the highest prevailing rate on a room at that resort?

Thx.

We got an email on Tuesday for the 30% off and applied it to a deluxe, we had to order the planning DVD in my husbands name and by accident I clicked off first time visit, but they quickly applied it to my room at the Contemporary but had to look up the DDP code. Yeah for you!!!!!:woohoo:
It is off the rack rate for that time of year, so yes, 30% off the value season price.

BAsically it means that you can't stack codes; you can't combine the PIN with your AAA discount for example. So going in Value season gives you 30% off the Value Season price.

thanks everyone! just got off the phone with Disney and the code took 500 dollars off our total price! yippee! now hoping that free dining is offered...but then I'll have to cancel my pin :(

I'm wondering, if I clicked first time visit, wouldn't they know that I had actually been there more like 10 times when (if I got a code), I tried to use my pin to book a room? Also, wouldn't the computer catch that I've already gotten a planner dvd a couple of years ago? I would think they'd know when they put my name, address, etc into the computer and then they'd say I couldn't use the code being it wasn't my first time. Do you think they pay attention to that? And, if I got a code through a dvd planner order, would I be able to use it in Nov on days that aren't blocked or don't codes go that far?
Thanks!

If you get a code, use and enjoy it! :)
You would not be able to arrive on blocked out dates listed on a code and still use that code.

We got the same email but our dates don't coincide with the 30% off. :sad2:

I hate to be a killjoy, but I think $82 is rack rate for August/September.

How does Disney decide who gets a code and who doesn't? My MIL got one for October, but we have never gotten one.

It is a rack rate. I got the same email, but whenever I was looking at the prices awhile ago it was $82, so technically you aren't saving any kind of money. I would definitely use the 30%.

yea it is rack rate for that value price that is quoted but I am staying at a moderate and it took 30% off.

Thank you! Now another question. Okay, so say I want to go Nov 7 - 16, '08, and supposing I get a code and the code includes the 9th - 15th. Could I book the 7th and 8th separately and then book another reservation for the remaining days and use the code, hoping to stay in the same room (we wouldn't be using DDP at all) ? And the 15th, is that the last night of the cheaper reservation, and you'd leave on the 16th, or would your last night be the
14th and you either leave the 15th or have to book a separate last night if you wanted to leave the on the 16th? And, if I did have to split my reservations up, I could probably use my AAA, right, since they would be two separate reservations?
:confused3

Well, I have no code yet, but I'm hopeful and want to be prepared and know what I will need to do! :) Last year I got a flyer in the mail and it covered all the days during that 10day time period I wanted, the same time in Nov. But I did see something listing those dates above, but chopping off the beginning and end the dates I was wanting to go on.

Thanks for any help!! :flower3:

Hi, maybe I can help. :flower3: I received a pin code for 40% off and I was lucky enough to get the WL, courtyard, tickets and dining for Dec. 7 - 14th. My family and I wanted to arrive on Dec. 6 - 14th. We had to book a 1 night courtyard view for the 6th, then our package will kick in Dec. 7th. We saved so much money with the code though, one night out of pocket is fine.
On your second question, if the pin goes through the 15th, I would think that you could stay that night as well, but I can't be sure. Hopefully someone else has done this and can help. Good luck on getting a code!:wizard:

If as you arrive during a non block out time, you can stay (within reason of course ;) ).
As an example a package may require a minimum of a 3 night stay with a maximum of a 14 night stay. You could arrive/check in during a non blocked out period, and stay even if your stay goes into a block out period. But the resort stay could not go beyond the maximum of nights allowed. (Then that would require another res.)
I can't say for certain what happens to your room rate during the block out period, as I have no personal experience with that.

Thanks so much for your help. Sounds like our dates will be okay and we'd still be able to do the dates we'd want to so that's cool. Now we just have to watch and wait for a great code to come our way! Crossing our fingers!! :)
