I FINALLY found a GAD opportunity!

I pulled up the GAD site today to show it to a friend and checked for our area and finally found something we can do locally and our 7yr old can participate. I have been checking since Jan 1 and nothing has been open in our area for anyone under 16. Today there were 2 for 6 yrs +. One is painting for the Girl's Inc Club and one is in the next town over volunteering at an adult day care. I put in for the paining and hope to hear from them real soon.

...........and Lost an opportunity. Got email back from the Girls Club today. They only accept volunteers M-F 9-5. Sorry don't think you are gonna get too many takers on that one. I guess for the under 18 crowd that means missing school or using a 'school break day' to volunteer. I'm certainly not leaving my job for a day and working for $10/less an hour. So I'm back to square one.
