I finally did it!!

We told our kids tonight about our August trip. I booked back in December and it has been killing me to keep it a secret! I put together a cool powerpoint presentation to tell them, it even plays When You Wish Upon a Star at the point the big news comes up.

It will be my family of 7 plus my sister going this time. I originally booked 2 rooms but added a 3rd room tonight so we would all have a bit more space. Even better was that I had a 30% PIN! I also added the QS dining even though we will be going during what will most likely be FD. Dh and I talked about it and decided we really did not want to do ADRs and have to be somewhere at a certain time everyday. Using the PIN and adding dining was within a few hundred dollars of FD so that is what we did. Of course, there is always the possibility we may change it before we go. lol

We will be there for dd's 7th birthday so I also booked Chef Mickey for her birthday dinner. That is going to be a surprise for her. My parents live in Jacksonville and they will be driving down and joining us for dinner and then to watch Wishes from the Poly or a Wishes cruise again if we can swing it. I'd love to have the room decorated for her birthday but just can't justify the cost so I think I am going to shop one night with dh or sis while the other stays with the kids and have my mom get to the hotel while we are at a park and do the room up for here. Better than spending $300!

Thanks Jewels! Of course dh started fretting about the cost last night after we made the changes. It is definately not a cheap vacation. I know we probably won't get to do it like this again. We'll still do Disney but a family of 7 staying onsite is just soooo expensive.
