Some of you may know that I purchased a 50 point add-on this summer right after DBF and I had a big fight and stopped talking to each other. My guide's call came the next day, (good timing) and I figured hey, I can always take my parents, but I'll need a bigger room. Well the silence only lasted about a week, but I *neglected* to tell DBF that I did an add-on for a while- okay 3 months to be exact.

I was getting away with it because he often would talk about what a great deal DVC is and I would just answer "I am sooo glad you feel that way"

Well the other morning he asked me point blank "How many points do you have again?"

Let's just say I'm no good at playing poker, so I told him. Luckily when I told him the whole story and how some women go to the mall when their upset and it was kinda like that he just groaned and said "It's too early for all of this" I asked what he thought of 200 points (the grand total now) and he smiled and said "Well it's better than 150"

So here's my question. Do you think this will make him more or less likely to argue with me again?

LOL...I think it will all depend on how many vacations he wants to take a year! LOL

Either way, you win! Either a life of blissful peace or you end up with 2000 points. Maybe it will be somewhere in between, though.

It appears in this case that you are not trustworthy. You should have and should be upfront.

Honesty is the best policy.

Good luck it sounds like it will go over well.

It takes two to argue. He might seek marriage counseling, however. :)

Having more points could be a bond but then who's paying?

ROFL- Lisa that thought never occured to me. You are right it is win win for me!

Gail- we'll save the marriage counseling for AFTER the wedding! LOL!

Actually I didn't feel an obligation to tell him since we don't share a household. But it looks like that will be changing in the near future, so that's what made me feel compelled to reveal my purchase. I'm paying for it now, but he knows once we get married his money will be my money and my money will be my money! :teeth:

Opps, sorry, I totally missed DBF (how I do not know, but, I did).
The fact that you are paying for it totally changes my opinion. :)
Your money, you buy whatever you want. ;)
