I have been traveling a lot on business and my good intentions got sideswiped. SO... I am restarting. I don't think I gained anything but I am sure I have not lost! Back on track. I am home for the next week and a half to get me going again!

Hi Carol!! Just jump right back on that wagon! Nice to see you!

Good for you ! It is soooo much easier to stay on track when we're at home, so that's great that you're having some "home-time" to get you going.

You're back now, that's all that is important. You are focused and back on track, that's great!

I know I say this a lot but you need a plan. You need a plan for your business trips, plan ahead and you won't fall off the wagon. Plans are our WISH seat belts :)

Welcome back!

You can do it Carol! I sure hope to see you in December at WDW.

God bless you, best wishes, and encouragement, RaySharpton:)

I just got back up here myself Carol, sit beside me and we can make this ride without falling off again!!!

Kath is right, plans (whether we are away or home) ARE our WISH seat belts!!!

You just hop right back on, Carol! :) That wagon is always driving around looking for WISHers who have fallen off. I think it's all those bumps in the road that does it!

Hang in there, you are back on track and that is what counts!!!

Thanks everyone. I am actually trying a new tact. Lots of small meals during the day. My downfall is normally in the morning. About 10 am I decide I am starving to death. However, I think my body can sustain itself for quite a while without food. LOL!

Carol, that plan works for me most days. I wait until I am hungry and then I eat 2-4 points. But some days I yearn for that "full" feeling. Once in a while I like to have a 10-12 point MEAL!!!

Carol, I have fallen off the wagon more times than I can count! :)

Good to have you back on track. As for being hungry, I'm not sure which diet you are on, but I was told to be sure to have protein in the morning (I'm on WW, so I have a marble cheese string) to help alleviate the hunger later. I make a smoothie with frozen fruit, milk and a splash of vanilla that is VERY filling.

Good luck!

CarolA,

When I read your post, I almost thought I read something that I wrote!

I too have been away on trips...one week earlier this month, which I actually did pretty well on, then last week I was away for 2 nights on business, and next week I'm away for 1 night on business again!

One of my challenges is that I am travelling with others (who are superior to me in a sense), so I don't always have a say in where we're going to eat. When I could, I ordered something within my weight loss guidelines. The second challenge is that in Hawaii, quite a number of places serve 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad, with no other options, with their entrees (my program doesn't allow starches at this point, except maybe a slice of toast at breakfast). The third challenge is that next week I will be going to Molokai, which is VERY small (there's only ONE traffic light on the entire island...no kidding!) and isolated, so I have no idea what kind of food there is.

While I could (and have) used those as excuses, I am so thankful for WISH because of your words of wisdom, and while I can't control every bit of this trip, I will plan what I can. My plan requires one protein-only day a week, so I'm thinking that since the one thing every food place in Hawaii has is protein, I'll make the Molokai day a protein day. So even if I go to a place with rice and mac salad, I can at least eat the chicken, beef, or whatever it is. And I'll be armed with my protein bars as snacks when I get hungry.
