We are planning on going next October 2024 for my DD's 21st birthday...we've been talking about this for years!
We are going to stay at our home resort, BCV, likely from October 4-12, 2024 but DD will most likely be starting a new job sometime in May or June after college graduation and she is thinking she probably won't be able to come for the whole trip, which is fine because she can fly down and back separately and will most likely bring her boyfriend.
Because of this, I was thinking I would book my DH and I in a 1 bedroom and her and BF in a separate studio for 5-nights (she's thinking she can manage to get off a long weekend) from October 4-9, 2024.
When I look at the Points calculator for our 1-bedroom for 8-nights it's 297 points, PLUS her studio for 5-nights it's 93 points, for a total of 390 points.
Conversely, I could just book all 8-nights in a 2-bedroom lock-off for LESS points...386 total. They'd still have their own space with a separate entrance, but she'd have more flexibility if things don't work out with her job.
What am I missing? I keep double checking to see if I'm doing it wrong??
