Tomm. DH will know if he gets laid off. He has already had 3 guys who are in lower positions come to him from other depts. asking if there are any jobs in his dept. They have already gotten their layoff notices. One man told him yest. that he went to the personnel office and inquired about other dept. jobs, Mrs. Nasty of personnel told him, look I have all these lists here of names from other depts. He didnt know if she said layoff list, possible layoff list, probable layoff list etc. Well the papers accidently flew out of her hand onto the desk and the guy briefly saw them and told dh he saw dh name on his depts. list. Ohh... He has alot of seniority but I guess it does not matter anymore. Well we have already talked about our finances and we have the budget pretty well set, goodbye luxuries like eating out and our..sigh..sigh...april trip to the world. I just thank God our house and cars are paid for. Our only big expenses are the ds private school which we wont pull them out of and those 2 houses we have inherited which we cant sell until dh cousins consent to it, but that is not going to happen, so I guess if we have any income left from those then we can use that too. The lawyers been doing alot of work, so I think we can basically kiss that goodbye , plus we have to remodel some of the one house, the kitchen is from the walton era. Things could be worse, but I guess I will enjoy reading everyones trip reports for now!! THanks for letting me vent.
I hope everything works out ok for you.
I sure hope your husband's co-worker missread that list and your husband doesn't get laid off.
