with the questions I have and I have been there 3 times :lmao:. Planning to go in September. We were thinking 6-10th. What can I expect going at that time? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Also, my sister in law got a quote through a travel agent and they had a hotel that would pack them a lunch to take each day. Have any of you ever hear of a hotel that will do this?

You have a very probable likelihood that Haunted Mansion will be closed for putting the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on.

Not as many kids there b/c so many schools nationwide start before that time.

And...that's all I can think of right now. :)

Thats why we are figuring to go in the first full week of September. Hoping that the crowds will be a little lighter. Will the fireworks be on during the week then or only on the weekends? My sisters haven't seen the fireworks.
How about DEP? Shut down for the season or still open for a little longer? I have yet to see it.

I went that week this past year. It was crowded on the Monday (Labor Day), but everything was up and running that day. I caught the fireworks and Fantasmic that night- they didn't run during the week. No DLEP.

Crowds died down starting on Tuesday. Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion were closed to get their holiday overlays. (I think SM closed Tue and HM closed Thur- could be off on that).

I think it's a great time to go. Just straddle a weekend and you'll get the evening entertainment!

were they planning on taking this lunch with them inside the park? Pretty sure that is not allowed! I guess they could store it in a locker and eat it in the picknic area outside of the park.

The consensus seems to be that they don't really care about bringing food into the parks.. I took some snacks and the CMs didn't say anything about it when inspecting my backpack.

For an amusement park, the food prices at DL/DCA really aren't that bad either so I'm not sure I would really bother bringing a lunch. Park food just seems to taste better, lol.

We actually eat in the park. Love those corn dogs!:goodvibes I had just never heard any of you guys on here talk about a hotel that would do this for you. I was just wondering. We have taken snacks into the park to just carry us through till next meal. Can't live off of corn dogs the whole time ya know!;)

Best predictor of future hours and entertainment are the past. See

Rumors are that DEP will be moved back to DL for the 55th anniversary this year and once again become the MSEP.

That first weekend (Labor Day weekend) will see DLR hosting the Disneyland Half-Marathon. Something to keep in mind as that will have a bearing on hotels booking up.
