I expected new costumes... Not just recolors.

We have absolutley NO new costumes at ALL. Just stupid new colors. Would you rather have a suit in black, gray, and brown, or the pirate costumes we've waited over a year for? Sure, we have one pirate costume, but it's near impossible to get and *I* think it is horribly ugly. I was really looking forward to this month for all the new costumes, until I noticed there weren't any. Here's what I like about what we've got this month from the stuff we know about:
Coral Magic
Pirate Keys
Native American
The idea of mystery items

Only TWO even have to do with Halloween. Not really a bunch when you think of all the NOT new costumes.
I do like how we have new hats, but I was looking forward to new *full* costumes. Hopefully, but doubtfully, the the end of the month might have something worth me buying extras of.

I'd say you should wait until the end of the month to start criticizing it.

Y'see, Yavn is one smart cookie: he's not going to reveal the brand new costumes (not reskins) in the Newsletter, instead he'd put them under Mystery Item so it would be a genuine surprise for the players.

For example, the King's Crown is a brand new item in the game. Was it in the Newsletter? No: it was a Mystery Item. Let's see what kind of goodie we'll get tomorrow...

Exactly. Anyone remember back to last Halloween? I'm pretty sure the Haunted Mansion suit was a complete surprise back then, and it came out late in the month. Have patience, good things are sure to come of it.

First of all, there's a crapload of new changes and great costumes which I know I am excited about, and second, it's not like you could do better.

Yes, I've waited a long time to be able to get a pirate costume, which I may never get.

But, I have also waited over a year to get the Brown HM suit. And over a year to get the Red Cowboy shirt.

Yes. I also want new costumes. And I'm sure there is quite a few surprises yet to come. Be patient and wait until the end of the month to fully judge.

We had seen the Mansions suit since July of last year, it was no surprise.

I do wish that they would hurry up the Pirate stuff though.

Give VMK a break they worked there buts off for us to enjoy the new features and the coustume release. Think on the brightside, theres still three more weeks including Mystery Items.

Im glad that they sold these costumes again, because i wasn't here last halloween when they were sold. And i got to get the Full Haunted Mansion Black Suit, and The Yellow Princess Dress. So im really happy they sold it again. But you have to give VMK a break. They worked hard to sell these items again.

Well, I kinda like this week a little bit more, only since I traded away my Native American stuff way last year. And I guess I'm happy we're getting new hats, but I was really looking forward to actual new costumes this year.

I agree with bug. The mystery Item states itself "Item" only one thing. A costume can not come out in one piece. Also the costumes coming out have already been posted. I think we need fresh ideas on some costumes .

There are still 2 more weeks of sales to go. I'm very happy with everything so far (especially top hat and witch hat!) but I was not here last year so that gives me a different perspective.

I don't think we should jump to conclusions and say this is the worst Halloween ever.. first of all, we've only seen 2 VMK halloweens, and that's if you've been playing since the beginning.. second of all, we're not even half way through the month yet, we have no idea what the rest of the mystery items will be.. third off, VMK has given us so much other new stuff this month that it almost makes up for what you call "rereleased costumes" I mean they are giving us new trading systems, new pirate maze walls, eventually we'll get the TV and sound systems and such, not to mention that totally awesome pumpkin penny press .. I just think that we need to take a step back and look at all the new stuff vmk has given us rather than the stuff they have not given us

Plus a lot of these color costumes we've been waiting for since last Halloween so i'm anything but mad about the new colors being released

I don't think you get it.. You are focusing way too much on what vmk hasn't given you rather than what it has given you for this month.. I think that some people.. not necessarily you, but in general take the positive changes in VMK for granted.. We just got so so much new stuff and all some people can think of is "well so what's next?" and not appreciate what we have.. as far as Halloween goes, they have already given us two never before heard of hats, and that will probably be the case for the following weeks in October, we also got the light up bags, the pin set, the pumpkin penny press, and of course the new colors of costumes that we've been waiting for since around last Halloween.. and like I said, we haven't even seen the end of the month yet, we aren't even half way through, we have no idea what other surprises VMK may throw at us in future weeks..

This topic isn't about what you are trying to shift it to. It's about the lack of new costumes for Halloween this year. Not the how-we-got-all-the-updates-at-one-time-so-why-the-heck-should-we-get-any-new-costumes topic. I am happy we're getting new hats-but for Halloween I expected at least ONE new *full* costume. Mystery item implies it will only be ONE item, not a full costume.
