I just turned 35 on Monday, and I am going into middle age kicking and screaming!!! While I don't usually buy clothes in the Juniors section, I refuse to dress old, or even worse, like a "mom". (Have any of you ever seen the "Mom Jeans" skit on SNL?) I am very fortunate in that I don't look my age, and most people think I'm still in my 20's. Consequently, I can get away with dressing young, though I don't want to dress too young (no Ambercrombie and Fitch for me, thank you!). My goal is to look sophisticated and well put together, with a few trendy things thrown in. I love Banana Republic and the Harolds Outlet in Norman, OK (Their stuff is just too expensive at the regular stores, but the outlet has the same stuff at much better prices!). I like Ann Taylor for special occasion dresses, outerwear (DH bought the most gorgeous coat there for my birthday!), and most especially when their cashmere goes on sale!!! And, I could kiss whoever created the Curvy style jeans for the Gap!!! Finally, jeans that fit in the waist and the hip, w/o being "mom jeans"!
Suzy's right, age is a state of mind. And from what I can tell from the pictures you've posted now and in the past, Miranda, you don't have anything to worry about for a long time. You are too cute!
