... but if I have to, I wanna dress like "Hope" from "Hope & Faith". Her outfits are pretty cute.

Sorry, I know this was random, but I was thinking that one of these days I have to stop shopping in the junior's section. I don't wanna grow up :guilty:

I'm a lot older than you judging from your photo and I still buy shirts in the juniors section (they have to be xlarge though). Can't get pants there, but I couldn't get pants there when I was 12.

I don't want to grow up either. :sad2:

Hope and Faith is a good show. :teeth:

:) I'm 23 and I think I will shop in the junior's section until the day I die! :goodvibes I don't know if it's good or bad that I' 23 and can still fit into clothes at Limited Too. :rotfl: I have problems with the pants too!!! I need the super long-length. Express is like the only place I can find pants long enough! :flower:

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who still dresses like a "junior."

I'm 28 and wish I could FIT in clothes in the Junior section. Even though i'm a size 16/18 I do think I dress pretty spiffy....

I'm 28 also and I don't think I dress old at all, I try for sophisticated. I also live by the rule of dressing for the job I want, not the one I have when at work.

The Limited, Ann Taylor Loft, Anthropologie and Banana Republic are some of my favorites and I do not dress dowdy...I still pick things up from Rampage and Express, but mostly for going out at night with friends.

I also do not skimp with accessories, I have great shoes, cute stockings, and great bags.

Thanks for the advice! We don't have any of those stores you mentioned except The Limited. I will try there. I buy 99% of my clothes from Express and I have recently stared ordering from the Victoria's Secret catalog. They have some super cute stuff. Also, you are right on with the accessories. They are just as important as the clothes. :goodvibes

Girls!!! I am 39 and still wear juniors. Actually, I have to wear jeans from childrens (size 12!!!!). After having my son at 31, I went through that yucky dowdy phase. I was heavy and unhappy. I didn't get my hair or nails done, didn't get waxed...well you can imagine..... I was MISERABLE. Please don't let this happen to you. Age is a state of mind. I am now down to my goal weight of 100 (I'm 5'1") and look the best I ever have. It was VERY hard work, but worth it. Don't dress OLD!!!!! You look great in your pics, so keep it up!!! Mean Girls is one my fav movies!!!!!

WOW! Congrats on that! It's awesome!!!!!!!!!! I bet you look great and deserve every piece of junior's clothing you have! :teeth:

Thank you on the picture comments and I LOVE Mean Girls, too! Such a true-to-life movie! :cheer2:

I just turned 35 on Monday, and I am going into middle age kicking and screaming!!! While I don't usually buy clothes in the Juniors section, I refuse to dress old, or even worse, like a "mom". (Have any of you ever seen the "Mom Jeans" skit on SNL?) I am very fortunate in that I don't look my age, and most people think I'm still in my 20's. Consequently, I can get away with dressing young, though I don't want to dress too young (no Ambercrombie and Fitch for me, thank you!). My goal is to look sophisticated and well put together, with a few trendy things thrown in. I love Banana Republic and the Harolds Outlet in Norman, OK (Their stuff is just too expensive at the regular stores, but the outlet has the same stuff at much better prices!). I like Ann Taylor for special occasion dresses, outerwear (DH bought the most gorgeous coat there for my birthday!), and most especially when their cashmere goes on sale!!! And, I could kiss whoever created the Curvy style jeans for the Gap!!! Finally, jeans that fit in the waist and the hip, w/o being "mom jeans"!

Suzy's right, age is a state of mind. And from what I can tell from the pictures you've posted now and in the past, Miranda, you don't have anything to worry about for a long time. You are too cute!

LOL. I feel really out of place around the mother's of my son's teammates. I'm 25 and I think the majority of them are 35-40 with a few right around 30 and some over 40. Sometimes I think I should be in nice business suits bulky coats and $300 scarves like them. Then I think, my body isn't going to look 25 forever!!!! :)

Pixiemomma,

Again, I'm 39, and I've never in my life worn a business suit or a scarf!!!! I was talking to my mom the other day about how I've never done "grownup things". I don't drink coffee, read the paper, watch the news, watch boring grown up shows on tv. Right now I'm watching Laguna Beach. Ive also never been in a job situation that required me to be in the "business world". I still feel very much in my 20's (and lucky to look it) and I'll be turning 40 in 2006....unbelievable...Oh yeah-I LOVE living in FL as I hate to wear sweaters and coats-I always feel fat in them.
