I'm sorry if this is repetitive, but I am really confused. If I already have a reservation at a resort with a minor discount and then a much better coded discount becomes available can I call and ask for that discount even though I've paid the deposit?
Please Help!
Meg

Yes, you can. If you qualify for a particular discount, and it is available for the date and room you reserved, they will apply it when asked.

I have the AAA room only discount right now, saving close to $100 a night, but if a new discount becomes available, like a Disney VISA offer or a code for the general public, I'll use that if I qualify.

The only caveat is that the other rate may be subject to availability. (i.e., Disney usually only allocates a certain number of rooms at each resort for each promotional code). So the fact that you already have ressies at the resort at the time they announced the code will not entitle you to the new promotion if the particular resort has already sold out its allocation for the code at the time you call to try to apply it. However, if the code is sold-out the first time you try, there could be availability later due to cancellations, etc. So, you can keep calling and something can open up.

We booked early this year for october, ASmovies preferred room $109. We really wanted to stay there for our daughter. As various discounts have come out we have tried for them. Was not able to get some, was able to get the $79 standard rooms at ASM. I found out too late about the McDonalds special (BAP or BAS), $55 a night at the value resorts from 9-30 to 12-25, with only a few blackout dates. I just called on it Sunday and was told that they had no $55 rooms at ASMovies, but they did have them at other value resorts. The CM was very helpful, even talking with a supervisor, and tried to see if there was some way to apply the new discount to our reservation, but she couldn't do it. The supervisor said that had I called the first day it was available, they had some rooms for that rate. Oh well, $79 a night is better than $109, but $55 would have been even better.

Good luck on getting your rates.
