I had this happen last fall and I hate to admit it - but I had a hairline stress fracture in my foot! I have a nasty habitof sitting on my legs and whamo, I jumped out of the chair and bam - hit th deck - twisted the one ankle completely. Horrible, horrible pain! So, of course I am sitting here typing while sitting on my legs......

I sat in front of the computer one day for 6 hours straight while playing Everquest. When I got up to go to the bathroom I didn't realize my foot was asleep. When I took a step and put my entire weight on it my foot kind of folded over so I actually stood on the side of it. And I heard a CRACK! That was the most painful thing I have ever felt in my life. I was on the floor flopping around like a fish out of water. I'm glad nobody was here to see that! After I stopped crying and flailing around I called my Mom...she is a nurse. She suggested I get it x-rayed. They said they couldn't see a break or a fracture but I was off of work for a week and I had to walk with crutches. The whole top of my foot looked bruised from a broken blood vessel I think and I couldn't put a shoe on. It was horrible. Now when I get up I kind of test my feet before I start walking. I never want to go through that again! I can laugh at it now, but I sure wasn't laughing then!
