I was wondering if someone could tell me if Disers still use the lime green Mickey Heads to id others.? On my last visit to the world i wore them at all times even though I havent met anyone...The last thing we lose is our hope!!
If not using the limegreen mickey heads ...do you use something to id ?
Iwould like to meet Disers...because we share our love to the world

You don't need a HD mickey head paint chip to identify as a Dis-er, any lime green ribbon works just fine. It has to be big enough to be spotted from a distance though. I do like the HD mickey heads since when I see one of those I KNOW it's someone from the DIS, and not just a random lime green hair ribbon or something. However, they are pretty small and hard to spot. I think folks who want to be noticed should make sure their lime green stands out. The only time I have noticed the HD mickey heads were when I was actually standing in line next to someone with one. If they had been walking quickly past me on Main Street or something, I never would have seen the tiny things! However, I always notice large, loopy bunches of lime green ribbons stuck on things they don't normally go on--not a ponytail, but hanging from a stroller, or worn on a pin lanyard. I always see DISers at WDW, but I don't always get a chance to speak to them. Maybe they are walking fast the other direction, or maybe the lime green thing they have isn't clearly a DIS thing, and I get tired of asking clueless folks if they have been to the DIS, lol.

Keep trying. Eventually you will see another DISer.

The only time I met a diser was actually at the airport, we were both waiting for the same plane to bring us down to the World when I lived in NY. I noticed her green mickey head, and we had ours . We started talking and it turned out I was actually speaking to her here on these boards.

i punched a hole in my HD mickey head, wrote "DIS boards" on it using a black permanent marker, put it on the hook of my belly bag & was spotted once this past jan. i was pleasantly surprised.

I wore a lime green polo shirt on three different days during our trip in March. (Don't worry I washed it at the end of each day). I'm sure people could spot me coming two miles away, but not one person ever asked me if I was from the DIS. I was disappointed, as I have yet to meet anyone from the DIS in real life.

I've wondered this myself, if the green heads every get recognized...I've been to Disney pretty frequently since enrolling and lurking on the Dis and I've never seen anyone from the Dis...perhaps I haven't looked as intently as I should...

I've met other Disers, But I wear a huge collection of lime green ribbons underneath my Dis button. I would believe that you could see me coming for a ways. I'll be back in July with my ribbons, bows and button.

Iwill be un july 2-9 ...on the 4th Im always at Epcot.I have my HD mickey heads ...I put letter stickers with my name and Disboards and a mini sticker of a character then I laminated each one put ribbons on each to attach them
everywhere,backpacks ,fanny packs,necklace ect...I will be wearing mines ...and I will be searching for them too...

I find it amazing also that not one person has even noticed my green ribbon etc., nor have ever seen anyone elses.

My DH and kids always laugh when I attach them to our backpacks, hmmm....wonder if they are right for laughing when nothing ever comes of it.

Oh Well!!! I will continue, maybe someday someone will see it.

We'll be there in 21 days We are staying at the Swan though... I picked up four mickey heads at HD and I guess I'll put one on the diaper bag and one on the stroller - don't know about the other two. I know my DH won't wear one since he thinks I'm an addict who needs professional help since discovering the disboards

I believe you get them at Home Depot from the Mickey Paint Collection. I think it is from the Buzz Lightyear collection. Can someone verify the color?

I grabbed a few of the HD mickey heads this weekend! I have seen people with green on, but have always been to chicken to ask them if they were from DIS. It's hard to tell if they have lime green on because of DIS or if they just like the color?! I have looked for the mickey heads but have never seen them.

I hope I see some or someone sees mine in Sept!! This will be my first time using the lime green heads!

Ditto! We'll be in Tampa on the 2nd but arriving Poly June 3-5 for DS's 2nd B-day. Doing MK on 6/4. I couldn't find a lime green stroller so I bought a safari green and will attach lime green ribbons to it. Gotta get a Mickey head. I'll keep an eye out too!

I have the Alien green HD Mickey Heads, and last week at the Disney Store outlet nearby I also found some lime green Mickey antenna toppers. I plan to give at least one of the antenna toppers a pierced ear and hang it from a chain on my fanny pack or backpack for my trip Sept. 22 - 29.

Can't wait to try this and see if I run in to any other DISers!
