Help! I can't find the instruction book - I do remember you have to push a button the actual door opener on the ceiling and then key in the numbers or something - can anyone Help!??

Thanks!

Try going to the "Genie" website and see if it has directions.... we had a similar situation and that's how we figured it out!

I have a set of instructions for the old type Genie. If you have that kind I can send you the information when I get home. If it has the smartkey keyless entry system, I can't help you. My garage door opener is about 12 years old (moved into our house in 1994) I will look on the board when I get home and see if I can help you. They switched systems several years ago and you can't find hardly anything on the old system anymore so the Genie site might not help.

I could use that info, too, if you find it. When we sell our house, I'd like to be able to tell the new owners how to reprogram the garage doors....but I can't remember how to do it and the instruction book hasn't been seen for years! DH & I had to put our heads together last week just to remember what the numbers were to open the doors....! :confused3

ETA: Let's check this out: Genie

I looked on the website and the instructions didn't work.

My instructions are just like the third wireless opener listed in mtbluejeans link. It is the non intelligence code model. I reprogrammed mine about a month ago and those were the instructions I used.
