I Don't Have Cancer!

Thank God!!! I am so glad to hear this wonderful news! You deserve to celebrate after the weeks of stress that you & your DW have been living with. :)

YipEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. It's so wonderful to hear answers to prayer when we've all been praying. Thank you Lord for this good news.

My DH doesn't have this, he just has a totally non-functional Thyroid so has taken synthroid for almost 30 years. Not a big deal, you just have to keep up with it.

I know a HUGE weight has been lifted off your shoulders. These great results couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Hope the family you sent on a cruise has/had a wonderful time.

What a great news, hope you have a wonderfull cruise next year.

Got final results today! I have Hashimoto's Disease that caused all of the lymph node enlargement and abnormal blood tests. The pathology specialist that reviewed the biopsy said that there is NO worry for cancer. Probably the biggest sigh of relief my wife and I have had in a long time. Celebrating tonight. Looks like I will be on the cruise next year after all!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and words of encouragement during this difficult time.

FABULOUS news!

The pathology specialist called today. Told us that there were broken down remnants of thyroid tissue seen in the lymph node which is usually not seen with Hashimoto's and that was why there was the cancer scare. DW and I had a great celebration two nights ago. We told the family after-the-fact since there was no reason to worry everyone before we had any answers. My mother was very mad that I didn't tell her, but it was overshadowed by her relief.

Again, thank you to everyone who was so encouraging during this on the board, especially those from the Cancer Survivors thread who sent so many messages of good advice and encouragement. I think you guys should bottle that pixie dust you send, because it certainly seems to work.

can you please send some pixie dust to my mother in law. Here is a little history on her. 12 years ago she had a masectomy because of breast cancer. Then a few years ago we found out that it is in her lungs. Well now it is in her skull and her spine.

Please pray for me too. I am having a really hard time dealing with this. I by no means want to overshadow the OP. It is great that she doesn't have cancer.

 cindalu,
My thoughts and prayers are with you, your MIL and family. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, so I can surely feel the pain of the dreaded cancer returning. I will keep you both in my prayers for faith, strength and courage as she fights her brave battle. Please tell her I hope she gives it the best fight of her life and never under estimate the power of faith. There is always room for a miracle. God Bless ^i^
