So it's been the longest winter ever. Basically my grandfather has been numero uno meanie and incredibly stubborn and has had us move him twice. In general thanks to him, we've all been stressed out and upset for months.

We're all tired out now, especially my parents. My brother not as much, but he's dealt with his second year of university and is busy making us proud.
So what does my mother propose?
Well a trip to Florida of course.
Problem?
She only sent the forms for my passport (Mine expires in July, you're not allowed to travel with a passport that's expiring within four months and it's necessary to cross the border now with one. Either way, it doesn't matter because she had to send my birth certificate in too, so I can't even fly within Canada) about a week ago. It could be up until May the 20th before I get it. Problem is we have to leave May the 11th and our trip is two weeks. Therefore it would not be ready in time and I couldn't go.
Government says that if we book our trip and give proof, they'll try to speed up the renewal of my passport. But now my mother is dealing with
Should we take the risk and book it even though I may not have a passport to travel with? Should we risk losing our money? Should we risk them having to go on vacation without me?
On the side my dad was moving my grandfather back this weekend, so he's probs gonna be in a bad mood. If my mother tells him we'd be risking it, he'll probably just say no. And that's not what we want, we want outta here.
So would you take the risk and book it, or wait and see if my passport comes?

On a side note, I have a huge social studies project to finish before then, and have to present. It's due May 14th for a social studies fair (yeah, wth right?) but I wouldn't be here and my partner would have to do it alone. He's currently begging me not to go (hm... say no to Florida? um no). And I really don't want him determining part of our mark...

Anyways, I'm currently excited! Because I believe this will work out. This will be the first family vacation in three years :)
and as my dad put so well the other day 'How do you do Florida without doing Disney?'

well the whole passport thing kinda confuses me lol im too young to worry about that stuff [for now] but good luck and i hope you can go!

I'd say go for the risk, I always have problems traveling because of passports and it sucks, I wish I'd been offered something like this.
