I do not like the new Pampers Cruisers...

I cannot stand the new and so-called-improved Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max protection. I don't know what they consider dry, but I have had more leaks with these diapers than I have in all my years of having kids in diapers. They also are very droopy. And to make it budget related, I am going through more diapers in a day because of this and I feel these are a WASTE of my money. I am thankful I only have a few more months of diapers...I just need to find a brand that I like for this short time. I don't like Huggies because I feel they are too bulky. Any other suggestions? How do store brands compare? And with that, I only have Kmart and Walmart to choose from.

I was a die-hard Pampers Cruisers user, but they have now lost my business.

I haven't tried the new dry max yet, but we've always used Pampers. I did switch to Luvs once my oldest got bigger and had no problems! They are much cheaper than Pampers or Huggies. I haven't had any leaks, using them now with a 7 mo old.

There was a small article in the Chicago Sun-Times this past Saturday (5/1/10) about the trouble people are having with the new diapers. There's supposed to be a Facebook group with several thousand members who have had blowouts, leaks, and blistering rashes from the new "dry max" material. Here's a link to the article: http://www.suntimes.com/business/2222392,CST-NWS-pampers01.article

I use the Target brand diapers and like them pretty well. I also use Sam's Club brand diapers (if I can't get to Target) and they are OK but I prefer the Target brand.

OMG! I used one of those last week when I was out and borrowed it from a friend. My son got a nasty welty rash. I thought it was from what he ate but I bet it was from the stupid diaper!

I think Luvs are very similar to Pampers and a lot cheaper.

I actually like them better than old cruisers; but my first choice has been the pampers baby dry, which are still readily available. If you haven't tried them, see how you like them. I didn't like the weird inside of the old cruisers that looks like bathing suit netting. I felt like my DS would get weird rashes from his poop pulling away from the diaper (gross, I know)
I've used Luvs on occasion, when they're on sale and I have a coupon, and they're OK. I've had good and back luck using the store brands. I bought a bunch of CVS diapers that were discontinued and around $2-$3 a pack - I sent them to day care and seemed to be OK. I've used target brand before too, and they were Ok until my DS got to be borderline on needing the next side, then they didn't seem to hold up as well.

I've heard horrible things about the dry max diapers, it's seriously making me think of CD'ing the little guy. I've always liked Pampers Baby Dry, but I don't know if they have the 'dry max' crap in them too. A friend of mine likes the Target brand, some people swear by Kirkland but I'm not a Costco member so I've never tried them, but they happen to be on Amazon now. Luvs aren't bad, they're not the best, but I've never had a leak with Luvs, so maybe that's something to try-- it's not like a pack of Luvs is a big investment!

Oh-- and I started stocking up on diapers, the 'old' ones that supposedly don't have the dry max, but then I heard they'd been sneaking in the dry max diapers in the old packaging. ugh. So, I bought a pack of Huggies today. Sorry Pampers, until you clear this up, I'm not buying any more!

I've heard nothing good about the Walmart brand diapers though.

I had very good success with the Walmart brand of diapers for my 2 oldest kids. Baby #3 leaked through EVERYTHING until I put him in Pampers, so we've stuck with them since then. I have a huge box of the old Cruisers that I'm just finishing up, and after hearing about all the problems everyone is having, I hesitate to buy them again with the changes. He can get by with cheapo diapers during the day now as long as I change him frequently enough, but overnight he still needs the Pampers. He leaks every single time I try to use another brand overnight. Ugh! I might just try a small pack of the new Cruisers to start with and if they don't bother him then I'll get a big pack at Sam's like I usually do. Guess it's a good thing I'm planning to potty train him this summer!

I've been putting Cruisers with Dry Max on DS for 2 days and he has developed a terrible rash. I'm certain it is the dipes because he hasn't eaten anything new. I do CD and sposies, about 50/50. We usually use Baby Dry and have had good luck with those. I've tried Luvs and Target brand but have had leaks and Huggies gave him a rash too. I too have heard of them sneaking in Dry Max to the Baby Dry diapers though he's not had a rash from them so I don't know if we just haven't gotten those or if it is just rumor.

I HATE the dry max diapers! Both of my kids (2.5 y and 7 months) leaked out of them like crazy and they are NOT absorbent! :confused3 I was going through more of them than ever before. I've switched my 2.5 DS to Luvs, and I have to say, they aren't that bad. I still miss the old cruisers though. :lovestruc Maybe they'll bring them back.

DD got a rash and always pooped outside of her diaper. The dry max doesn't have anything in the back to catch her deposits. It stops 2/3 of the way up the back of the diaper. So far, they haven't changed the Baby Dry, so I'm still using them for her. I'm just waiting for those to be switched out next.

I don't care how much testing they have done with the "new and improved" cruisers. They are horrible!

We have been using the new Pampers on our 2 yr. old DD and haven't had any issues. I've always liked pampers...rarely had a leak and never had poo leakage or up the back messes and she's had a few nasty bouts of diarrhea! We use Huggies night diapers...love them....they hold a lot. Did not like the pampers night diapers.

I am glad to know it is just not me having issues with these diapers. DD leaks always with them. The only thing I like is how stretchy they are, and was .thinking of going back to them for that. I do like Target brand, but they are not as stretchy.

In the past whenever I had problems with diapers, I would write to Pampers/Huggies and let them know. They will usually send you a coupon for a free pack. Often times, they like the feedback as they are trying out a new design.

We are using the Dry Max as overnights with no problems, and my kids have super sensitive skin! We also have good luck with 7th Generation, although they don't hold enough for overnight!

I've been using the baby dry & just bought a new case last week & almost everyone has leaked!! They also seem to fit different & sag so I'm wondering if Pampers changed them as well?

We've had some of the new Dry Max Pampers Cruisers and haven't had any problems with them. We're pretty lucky in that most brands of diapers work fine for our DD. The only ones we haven't liked were the cheaper Huggies (can't remember what they're called) but the Huggies Little Movers are fine. I do like the cut & stretch of Pampers Cruisers better than Huggies LM but the Huggies work alright. Luvs have also been fine for her in the past, although we haven't had any recently. I also like 7th Generation, but they are not as stretchy as some of the other brands so they fit a bit smaller. Earth's Best are also good, they are stretchier than 7th Gen & seem to be cut a bit larger.

EMail them. If they get enough complaints they might offer refunds or change them back.

P&G makes both pampers and luvs and as long as they don't change luvs you can switch to those.

Pampers is under investigation for the Dry Max diapers causing blistering rashes on babies bottoms. There is a new chemical in them that is causing chemical burns.

My sister filed a complaint this morning and was told that they expect for Pampers to be recalling these diapers within two weeks.

I thought I was the only one who felt this way! I agree with everything you said. I have always used the pampers cruisers...I am still using them even though I don't like it! I am hoping to potty train my DS when we get back from vacation.

I've been waiting for them to recall them. If this were any other children's item, it would have been recalled already.
