I gotta share this story. Its a really good one, but you gotta read till the end.

My last trip to WDW was a horror story. I wont bore you with all the dreary details, but suffice it to say we never wanted to see WDW again, and that was coming from a family that goes there 3-4 times a year!!!
My son is autistic, & it was his worse trip ever. He was mad & hateful relentlessly. (It wears on you 24/7) Everything made him more angry. PLUS, I had failed the whole family by switching us from POP Century (unamiously the favorite in our home) to the AS Movies. I wanted my daughter to see AS Mo because she'd never seen it before. Even my daughter wasnt happy with the decision, and when I tried to switch back, it was sold out at POP.
Well, AS Movies this week was VERY unDisneylike. The pool was closed, & that was a giant torment to my son who passed the big empty pool every day 2-4 times a day. He wanted to swim at THAT pool so bad. The staff at AS Mo weren't their usual selves. The maid service was poor, the room wasn't made but every 3rd day, & the food court was VERY problematic with machines down more than up. The ice machines werent working, the AC was VERY weak that week, Plus it was the last week of free DDP, & the waits were VERY long for any meals or snacks.
My son was having an autistic meltdown like nothing we had ever seen before, & it happened for 8 full days. All he wanted was to stay at POP, & that couldnt happen, because I had switched us early on, & POP was now maxed out.
It was just a very bad experience the entire trip. Even the trip home was a disaster.
I promise it gets better at the end... keep reading!
After this horrible week, I arrived home to NO work. The phone just stopped ringing. The bills poured in and I wasnt making ANYTHING. I tried contacting disney to try my best to get a partial refund on the APs we had bought on the second day of our trip. They couldnt. I tried a credit card claim to get a refund. They wouldnt. So now none of us ever want to see Disney again... (at least it was a temporary feeling...) and we just spent a LOT of money on APs.
Fast Forward to this trip. Were wanting to give it a second try. We've always had a blast at WDW. We KNOW deep down this was just a very bad experience. We desperately want a better memory of Disney. I call for the AP rate and find that POP is all sold out at passholder rate. My son overhears me talking to the CM and screams "If we cant stay at POP then I just want to STAY HOME!!! (remember he's autistic... not a spoiled brat). I called 4 different times and got 3 different CMs and all 3 confirm that POP at AP rate is OUT of the QUESTION, PERIOD! So I book us a room at the ONLY resort offering the $79.00 nightly rate for our week... the AS Music.
On a previous trip to AS Music we had a blast. He LOVED the Calypso pool. He loved the 3 characters spraying water. Hes a pool fanatic. He remembers playing in the pool at AS Music and says "That will work." He's finally excited about the trip.
The next week I see that the AS Music pool will be down the entire time of our stay!!! I call WDW to see if theres ANYTHING they can do...
I tell the CM "Its the year of a Million Dreams... I'm hoping for just ONE of those dreams..." I explain the lengthly situation.
Then she does something really odd. "She then says "All my callers have to say something special... They all have to say (think Peter Pan here...)
I DOOOO Believe... I DOOOOO Believe... I DOOOOO Believe!!!"
She says "Now you have to say it LOUDLY! Like they do on Peter pan!!!" I looked over at my wife, whos watching my every move, and who doesnt hear what shes saying on the other end of the line, and I sing "I Doooo Believe!!!" 3 times. My wife starts laughing, and says WHATT????:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
The CM then says " Congratulations! Your staying at the POP. Your all set! Have a magical day!" My wife and son figured it out and are dancing in the kitchen singing "Were staying at the POP!!!" haha.
Just thought it was a funny story. Hope it was worth the time it took, and hope it made you smile.:thumbsup2

What a happy ending. It even brought a tear to my eye. Have a wonderfully magical trip!
