We're losing my manager, at least for 2 years. He's switching to a different department, and none of us (him included -- this isn't by choice) is happy with it. 
No idea who's going to take over, but of the prospects, only one would be as good to work for that I know of.
Things are about to get crazy while they get a new manager. I just hope the new one will be as willing to work with me on education stuff and schedules.
