I did something dumb!

Admittedly, i have made a big mistake. I volunteered to get my parents a room for two nights 9/27 and 9/28 on short notice. My siblings and i are going down to WDW for a trip with our families and now my parents would like to come. I must say they did not ask me to help them, i foolishly offered! I know better than to try to get them a room now, but has anyone called MS lately... are there any rooms? I guess off property is my best option when you consider free dining plan into the equation. I don't know how i get myself into these things. thanks for listening.

You can call MS tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) and see what is available. Not sure what you mean about "free dining" as it was not offered as free to DVC members, but for a price only. Good luck!

Called Thursday to change from 2 BR to studio and there was availability at SSR and several others I think. I asked about AKV but it would have meant changing almost every night of the trip because of the many different room categories and the fact that there was availability in some and not others and in none for the whole time. My next choice was SSR which I took so don't remember which others were available. I needed Sept 19-26 so think you stand a good chance if you don't care which resort you get. Free dining should have no effect on whether there are some studios available at DVC with points.

I called last week and booked 9/14-9/16 at BWV 1-BR std view (my 41st BD!!). It's only 2 weeks away. But, it's also Friday and Saturday nights (as are your dates).

We went last year mid-Sept also, and worried about the crowds (due to free dining), but it was the least crowded we've ever seen WDW. And we've been all different times.
