I did it. I took the plunge....right off of the high dive and into the deep end!

I switched our ressies from YC to ASMovies. ::fearful::

I hope my kids love it! It's the only factor that's keeping me sane. ::fearful::

It's my little compromise with DH.....he agreed to come and to bring my DS if we could try to save money elsewhere. So this was it. He comes (my choice!), we fly United (my choice!), we stay at ASMovies (his choice ), and we have money to spend...er,um, I mean save.

Pray for me and send me some of that ~*~pixie dust~*~ please.

Honestly, I have stayed at the deluxe hotels, and I have stayed at the All Stars. The All Stars are very nice resorts! They are clean and efficient, and the magic is just amazing there! Everyone hustling and bustling and happy, my experience at the All Stars was so, ummmm, Disney-fied! I can't think of a better way to describe it than that!!!

Tia, you guys are going to have a BLAST!

You'll be fine. I've stayed at the All Stars, too. I even ran into Snoopy the last time I was there! The rooms are great and the cafeterias can't be beat. I think you made a fine compromise. We'll still get to see you at DIS-Con, that's all that matters!!

Tia: I am staying at As too! Your kids will love it and I bet you will be pleasantly surprised too. Last dec., I stayed at Music on a solo trip and found it very adequate. Buses were frequent to everywhere, the food court was convenient, with plenty of food choices, and the room was pretty comfortable. With the AP rates, then, its value can't be beaten.
And during DisCon there will be so much to do that I believe that we will all see very little from the inside of the room.
I love the deluxes, but I think that all the Disney resorts I've stayed so far are nice and lots of fun to explore.

Tia, And most importantly, your DH is coming! That makes the compromise worth it. As long as you are there and on site, it won't matter where you are staying. And Bellemom is right, the bus service there is better than most other places.

(Only 116 days to go. (no, i didn't count, but my DisPlanner does!))

Compromise can be a good thing, Tia! I have never stayed at the All Stars, but I know that you'll have a good time. Besides, you'll be at Disney!! That's the best part.

I keep telling myself that if it wasn't the convention I probably wouldn't do this...but there are sooooooooooooooooooooo many events to attend, I don't think I'll be at the room very often anyways.

Great decision - you'll be fine. We will be just up the road at All Star Sports. I simply couldn't afford to stay at YC and yet I wanted to be a part of DIS CON. To me there really wasn't any decision. This will be our 4th trip in a year and a half. I had rather go often and stay at a value than not to go at all. We have stayed twice at the All Stars and in June we spent a week at the Yacht Club. I actually love them both and will stay wherever we can afford at the time. We're at AS Sports for $49/night - you simply can't turn that down. See you in November.
