I'm so excited! I finally figured out the finishing touches for my Mary Poppins costume for MNSSHP! I got a skirt and a blouse off ebay but had been having a time finding a satisfying hat, spats, and cumberbund. Well, today, I went over to Walmart and checked out craft supplies. I picked up a little gluegun, some felt, some fabric, some velcro, and other odds and ends. Guess what? It worked! I'm bouncing off the walls right now. :) I bought my MNSSHP tickets yesterday for the 20th. This is going to be the best birthday EVER! I have at least 3 friends coming and another 2 who also expressed interest.

I also want to eat at a Disney resturant on my birthday, but I can't decide where. I'm thinking of dinner at Liberty Tree, but I'm not sure it'll be so fun going to the Halloween party stuffed like a pig! The food there looks so good. My boyfriend tried to get me a princess breakfast but they are both already booked.

Oh, on an unrelated note- My pay rate at WDW went up a bit because I just had my 1 year anniversary with the company. Yay!

How about posting a picture? I'm sure you'll look real cute!

On the restaurant front, my DD really wants to eat at Cosmic Rays on the night of our MNSSHP. Sonny Eclipse rocks! (If he is there.)

Sounds awesome. As a 6 yr old, I saw Mary Poppins in its initial release, and fell in love right then and there. DW is kinda like Mary Poppins, if Mary Poppins were a Boston tax lawyer:teeth: , but certainly pretty, proper, witty and great with our kids (too bad she can't carry a tune).

As for dining the night of, get that PS, and get it NOW, as you may not have much to choose from at this point. Yes, they do offer you a lot of food, but you can always say no to thirds;), even tho you've already paid and all... Last year we dined at Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends before MNSSHP. Given my earlier experience there back in the 90's I was not expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised with the high quality and variety of food. It was DS's 6th birthday, so he was royalty, and just beamed the entire time. So get that PS for something now, and go and have a GREAT time!

i was mary in the 7th grade. as a little girl i watched the movie everyday. that summer wdw actually sold the mary poppins hat. it is my all time fave disney hat and one of my all time favorite costumes. my mom just borrowed it for halloween a few years ago. it's the best costume bc the movie is soooooooo great!

Sonny is always there! We made this our last stop before leaving for the airport and were left in stitches by Sonny's puns!

Go for it, although we did the 1900 Park Fare Buffet before the MVMCP last year and I felt like a stuffed pig..........I was actually a little miserable fore awhile, it's hard to stop when the food is so good! But after a little walking and complaining I felt better, although I didn't eat anything at all that night!
But hey birthdays are once a year! At my age that is a godsend!
Have a great time!
