After reading how great the dining plan was on these boards, I called and added it to our ressie for our trip Nov. 29- Dec. 6. This is a trip for our 10 year anniversary and our DD 9th birthday. Her birthday is Dec. 1.

Here's my choices so far.

1900 Park Fare Dinner - on DD birthday, this was her choice
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner
Whispering Canyon Dinner
Garden Grill Lunch or dinner - don't know which one yet
50's Prime Time lunch

I still have 2 TS left, so I'm deciding between Rose and Crown, Coral Reef, and Chef Mickey's breakfast. I'm leaning toward Coral Reef and Chef Mickey's but I have never been to either.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love some feedback. DD is kind of picky so I don't want anything to "fancy". Thanks for your replies! :sunny:

I would definitely recommend Le Cellier, even for the pickiest eater it's a great place, and WONDERFUL food. I'm not sure, and someone else can confirm or deny this but I think Rose and Crown is 2 TS credits. So I'd go with Le Cellier and Coral Reef, but that's just my opinion. Good luck and glad you chose the plan, it's a wonderful thing!!! :cool1:

Thanks for the response, I have been to Le Cellier on our last tirp and wanted to try someplace we haven't been before. That's why it wasn't on my list.

I had heard that you can only get the dining plan thru a package, that it can't be "added on" to your room-only reservation. So did you have to re-book your trip as a package, or are you a member of DVC?

I had booked a package for room and park hopper tickets, so I had a package already. They just changed it to a My Way plus dining .

My kids love Chef Mickey's. I am sure your DD would too. It is buffet, the food was great and the atmosphere is so much fun. When the characters come out, everyone waves their napkins in the air, it is just so much fun for the kids. And they have a kid friendly bar for picky eaters. (chicken nuggets, mac-n-cheese, pizza ???)

I would do Chef Mickey's and Coral Reef with your other credits. We love them both and they are both must-dos for us.

We've never been to Rose and Crown, though, so don't know if we'd like it better or not.

We liked Garden Grill.

I've never tried 1900 or 50's (though I've always wanted to, along with R and C).
