:goodvibes How exciting! What hotel are you staying at? I'm going at the end of July and will be staying at the Grand Californian for the first time....I looked on Disney.com and so far ONLY three good neighbor hotels are booked for the time I'm going. I think it's a good sign and have my fingers crossed that the crowds won't be bad. I'll be going during the week, so most locals will be at work. YAHOO!!! This time two years ago when people we're going for the 50th, hotels were booked several months in advance. Three years ago I went to DL during the week in July and I litterally walked on a lot of rides. The wait for Small World was never more than 10 minutes. :woohoo:

Congrats to you Betty!
Have fun planning your vacation.:)

We are also going to DL in Aug! We made our reservations back in Feb for the DLH :cool1: How do you check to see what is sold out? We will be there Aug 6 - Aug 12.

We're staying at the Anaheim Camelot Inn & Suites. Anybody know about this hotel?:confused3 We'll be there Aug 5th to Aug 12th.:yay: We were last at DL in 2005. We stayed at the CCI then, but some of my days were not available. So OLP TA suggested Camelot Inn for proximity to DL and free continental breakfast. So I'm for it.:beach:

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! The Camelot Inn is very nice. They have a 4th floor pool deck that is an awesome place to watch the fireworks if you are too tired to stay and see them in the park each night. The breakfast is pretty basic, but enough to get you going. Its also right next door to a McDonald's which is very nice. And there is a Mimi's Cafe just a few doors up that is wonderful. Have a great trip!

The Pirate Adventure Dinner is a dinner show that is in Buena Vista Park ( close by Knott's Berry Farm. ) You get served dinner, and watch a Pirate-themed show pirate: However, it's not owned by Disney.

Have a fun trip at DLR :wizard: !

Yeah, I know it's not owned by Disney, but my 6yr old DGS loves pirates pirate: and it looked cute and I read a review on the Southern CA attractions board. It's something different to do. We have the So Ca Citipass and will be going other places.:drive: We're gonna go here on our 1st night there.:woohoo:
