over on the trip reports board - not sure how to post a link to it though - sorry!!

Thanks for a great trip report Dianna! :) Your kids sounded like they had a great time and I bet they're already planning for August's trip! :thumbsup2

We leave for Buffalo and our Park'n Fly Hotel tomorrow afternoon and then off to see Mickey Thursday morning! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We did have a great time thanks - can't wait for next August now - not sure if I'm more excited about the non disney cruise of Disney!! :lmao:

Oh my 200th post :cool1:

Great report and hope you get your broken cannisters soon. I'm glad we are not staying at SSR in January for our only three days at disney but I think we will still give it a try the next trip.

:wave2:

I'll definatly give SSR another try - it is a beautiful resort and I really liked the walk to downtown Disney - lots of wildlife there at all times (we saw snakes, lots of fish, birds of all types and even an aligator from the bridge crossing to downtown Disney and bunnies everywhere) I'm sure once the resort is done and they get they bus act together it will be great.
Next year we're doing WLV (we hope) and we'll probably give SSR a try for Dec of '08 again.

Thanks for the TR Dianna. I was interested to see you took your 6.5 yo ds to the animation academy...I thought my ds would like this, but not for a couple of years. (He'll be 6.5 when we go in January.) Can you tell me a bit more about how this worked out for your boy?

we mainly did the animation academy b/c of my 12yo ds who is very interested in drawing the characters. My 6.5yo gets to tag along and he did draw stitch and did a pretty good job for a 6yo! I saw kids much younger then him there too. he said he enjoyed it but I have to admit he was a bit frustrated with how his drawing came out - but he is my perfectionist! I thought it was fine he didn't  .

My ds loves Stitch also, and would love to give it a try, though he's also a perfectionist. But I want to go!! So maybe I can take him and if he gets frustrated, get him to try it again later; or maybe we can do it "together" like we did the robot race at Innoventions! Thanks for telling me about how this worked for your little guy!

Just read your trip report and it sounds like you had a good time regardless of any issues that you had!

Thought it was funny though as we ate at Narcossee's on the night of the 18th and couldn't understand why the fireworks were Hallowishes rather than Wishes! We thought possibly that they had piped in the wrong soundtrack except that the fireworks matched the soundtrack. Now at least I know we weren't crazy. :goodvibes

That was really weird!! I was so looking forward to wishes since we had only seen it once in the beginning of the trip. Oh well.... still working on a March mini trip and there's always next August to look forward to :thumbsup2

We had a great time and I certainly didn't 'sweat the small stuff' with the few issues we had at SSR - love that congress park pool. Great downtown Disney view from it!
