If the politicians who keep claiming this is a "once in a lifetime" financial crisis actually acted like it was a "once in a lifetime" crisis, maybe we'd pay attention. OK, I stewed about this all night. The problem is that I feel helpless at this point. My Senators don't care, they're in a solidly blue state. My congressman actually voted against the package, he was one of the 8 Dems to cross the aisle.

I feal defeated.
