Are these the ORIGINAL movies or the ones Lucas played around with and re-released?

Either way, I'll probably buy the set, but am truly hoping (against hope) for the original versions.

Lucas has said that he will never release the original versions on DVD. These are the rerelease versions with the extra special effects and other "changes" that were done.

Personally I'm just going to keep my old VHS original versions and boycott the DVDs. Han Solo shot first!!!

I am a little concerned I really like these movies, but haven't seen the original three in a number of years. I'm afraid LOTR may
have ruined me for SW. Pity they waited so long to put them on DVD.

DH has made me promise to get this for him if he's deployed by then. HA! I'd do anything to keep MORE copies of that movie out of our house!! LOL Four sets is more than enough, if you ask me!! Yes, I know none of them are DVD but, really, what difference does it make??!
