I have been trying for two days to get through to MS and all I get is a fast busy. Has anyone else encountered this? I know they are taking early Dec ressies but this is rediculous.

I have called them twice in the past few days. Got a few busy signals but no other issues. Getting ready to try again.....

Update. Got through on the first try with one ring and then I hung up by accident.

Called back, got through with one ring talking to the rep now.

Fast busy is an indication the carrier circuits are busy, not DVC. It over 8 tries before I got through.

 Still can't get through. I've never encountered this except on DVC's Cruise reservation day. I am not happy. They are open more hours but if nobody answers the phone it is all academic since I still can't make a reservation. When are they going to let us reserve our space on the internet like all the other timeshares do???

Since very few DVC members want online reservations, we have to pay the price with time consuming phone calls, long hold times and overloaded member services during peak times. This will continue to worsen until DVC offloads phone calls by implementing a working online reservation system. One that would eliminate these ridiculous day by day reservations that occur this time of year.

Are you sure it's not on your end? At the exact time you posted this I got through twice with one ring! Seems strange?

Are you using the 800 number? I did get more busy signals this week on the 407 one.

I think they busied out their trunk lines. I used to work for the phone company and when companies had too much volume to handle they just pulled the plug. Disney owns their own phone lines and equipment. They can do anything they want with the phones.

I've been making day-by-day reservations for 4 days, using the 1-800 number and have had no problems. However, I start dialing a minute or so before 9:00 am, press 1 then 1 again... if it is still 'closed', I hangup, redial and do it again. Once I get the ring tone I am on hold for a very short time. All my reservations were complete within 10 minutes -- I've been very pleased with MS.

Just called back and got through for the third time today. (I did have to redial twice this time)

I've talked to them twice in the past hour and got straight in both times - not even a second ring.

I wonder if there is something up with the main call center? The 407 number would only ring busy all morning, but the 800 number went right to the menu, and on to a CM with no waiting.

I got my Dec reservation.

I'm thinking the 800 calls are auto re-directed to back-up call centers (and some at home CMs) if there is a technical problem at the main call center.

I am not sure your statement is true. There was a past post and MANY MANY DVC Members wanted online booking.

I would like the ability to do online reservations, but not until DVC can offer a robust and reliable system!

Given the many legitimate complaints about the existing site (which is much, much simpler to do than a reservation system), I am afraid DVC is not capable of giving us a viable online reservation system in near future.

FWIW, I do not find the current system of day by day reservations to be "ridiculous". Other than a lottery, it is the only way I can think of that gives every owner the same opportunity to reserve a particular unit on a particular day.

My concern is that if we went to online booking it would make the "rental" market even wilder then it is now with renters booking up and releaseing on a weekly basis.

Plus Disney cannot run thier current HOTEL reservation system right. It has more flaws then I can list......Until Disney fires the entire web group and outsources it to someone with a clue I don't think I want them screwing up the DVC reservations too.

:thumbsup2 I agree 100%!

I think the phone lines are busy with DVC members trying to book around Christmas holidays. It might get worse later this month.
