Well, as alot of you may know a few days ago i was bouncing off the walls with excitement about our trip, we're off in 6 sleeps now.
But, i seem to have lost it, am feeling very stressed at the moment, we are driving (ferry), last week hubby, who is a postman, parked his car in the work car park, was called to the car park a few hours later to find a stupid customer, who should not have been in the car park had parked her car next to ours and not put the handbreak on, it rolled into ours doing around £900 worth of damage.
Insurance is covering it all but it doesn;t help my stress levels, we have a hire car, but the idiots haven't given us like for like so it's going to be a TIGHT squeeze to get the boys and nanna in the back. I know i should still be excited that i'm going, i'm just a worrier and finding this all a bit much 6 days before we go! :sad2:

:goodvibes
Suggest a quick dose of Trip reports followed by a course of DLP Youtube vids....Dr Disney will get you back on track!!!!

so sorry to hear about your stress.
is it possible to explain to the insurance company that you need like for like (or very close) as you have this trip planned with Nana etc. They might change the hire car, even if it's just for the duration of the trip.
Even if you don't get a bigger car, as soon as you see the top of the castle looming in the distance and getting bigger as you get closer, all that stress will melt away and be replaced with Disney magic!
Sending you lots of good vibes for a great trip.

Thank you for your kind words

Steve (DH) has called the insurance people about the car today, they don;t have any larger cars but are trying to fond one for us by thee end of the week, so fingers crossed! x

Nightmare! We had to pay for an upgrade on our hire car when I wrote the car off as they were going to give some ridiculously small 3 door thing?!!

I think it's quite normal to lose the excitement this close to the trip - sooo much last minute stuff to organise and no doubt it will be you doing all the organising! Don't worry though, it will return!! :wizard:

i will keep everything crossed for u!!!

yes, the stress can get to u regardless, and i am not sure if that was part the reason i was soooo ill when i was there, the stress just got so much that it made me ill - event ho i didnt have anythin to stress about (apart from keepin the whole thing a secret and doin all the packing lol)

yes, do go and look at sum reports - and google dlrp christmas decorations and videos - they will get u in the mood... hell, they make me want to go and i cant lol

:goodvibes u will have a lovely time, and the trip there and back is such a small part xxxx

You'll be fine once you're on your way. Try to forget about things like the car - eg. what does the car matter? we're off to Disney!!! Easy to say I know. :)

We're off in 8 sleeps, and driving, so yes it can feel a bit stressy at times, but the drive itself is a piece of cake. The car situation could be worse, and at least you're all still going. You'll just have to take regular breaks if the back seat is a bit squashed.

Think about..........The snow on main street, Fantillusion, Father Christmas in his village, the castle all lit up etc. etc. !!!! :cool1:

Fingers crossed you get a bigger car :wizard: :wizard: but if not, I'm sure you'll forget all the stresses and worry once you're there.

Thanks guys, we're stuck with the hire car we have so nanna may be a little stiff when we arrive!

Things got worse after my last post, DH noticed a huge crack in the windscreen of the hire car.......luckily, they hadn't done a check of the car with DH present so didn't even question us on it and are not charging us, although DH insists it mush have been there before he drove it as it was bloody big he would have noticed something hitting it, it was hidden by the rear view mirror on my side so i noticed it he didn't.

We're now 4 sleeps away and i'm busy ironing, i keep going to put the ironed stuff in the cases but always stop myself....i have no idea why!! I've been in a very strange mood lately! DH says if i was 30 years older he'd think it was 'the change'!! Cheeky sod! Even found myself leaving DH and the boys to fend for themselves on Monday evening, went up to my parents house, curled up on the sofa between my mum and dad and had lovely mummy cooked food....most unlike me!!

Anyway.......the weather forecast for next week seem a little better thank god! Just hope the weather on Sunday isn't like today for the ferry crossing!!

Boys are very very excited, as is nanna!!! :goodvibes
