I was just lurking on the budget Board and I just can't take it.......with all the cooking, crock potting, bringing refriderators on planes and lugging its no wonder they all need a vacation! I was tired just reading about it.

Thanks for letting me get that out!

May I be excused?

I MUST go and see. I haven't been on the Budget Board since about 1999. ;)

That has been discussed so many times-I think people do it just to rile people up again.

That board exhausts me, too. I'd rather scrimp and save in the comfort of my own home so that I can splurge when I go on vacation.

I love the Budget Board! I'm a secret lurker there... :cool1:

Me too. I'd do a whole year of macaroni & cheese before I'd spend a week at WDW cooking crockpot chili. :)

If it drives you so crazy, why look at it? I frequent the budget boards and haven't seen posts about crockpots and bringing refridgerators on airplanes (please  ) Of course, I dont' read the threads I'm not inerested in. You have that same option. If you hate that board so much, stay away, why exahust yourself getting all riled up over something stupid that doesn't affect you in any way? :confused3

I was just making a personal observation - I wasn't aware that this was discussed frequently - I'll be sure to read each entire thread and its content prior to starting a new one.

I got some great tips from the Budget Board in the recent months. Very thankful for it.

But I do agree, some of the threads are a bit exhausting.

I can't believe someone brought a refrigerator on the plane!!!

(to think they tried to make me feel guilty for re-using my refillable mugs)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The penalty for speaking about that which has already been discussed -

(it's too horrible to think about)

:rotfl2:

Well take a look at the "eat in room" thread - its all there; believe me I'm not that creative to make it up.

Why do I look at the Budget Board, because there are some great ideas on how to save money in general and I've used quite a few of them. I don't recall saying in my OP that I hate the Budget Board, please don't put words in my mouth. I am a fan of the Budget Board.

I'm just saying that I love the board too and that I just ignore the threads that don't interest me. I would never think of cooking in my room (hence the reason I didn't read the eat in your room thread). I just don't see the point os stressing yourself out because of what other people are talkign about, when it can so easily be ignored.

I beg to differ, I have seen plenty of posts about crockpots and refridgerators on that board. My philopsphy is if I need to cook on vacation I would rather stay home. But I ado get some neat ideas over there for other budget buys.

I understand how a lot of us would hate to do what they mention, but if eating in the room means a child gets a chance to meet Mickey, more power to them!

Oops! (but someone did bring a refrigerator - not that there's anything wrong with that).

If you are going to quote me, quote the whole thing. I said I haven't seen posts about crockpots and fridges ON airplanes, but right after that I said that I don't read the posts that don't interest me.

I also don't want to cook on vacation and that's why I ignore those threads. Ignoring isn't hard, just don't click on it. If you hate reading about eating in the room, don't click on a post that asks about eating in the room. It's that simple.

That is an awesome board! I found a deal on some fancyschmancy radio for my DH and his dad! And a pal Mickey for my mom! And all kinds of other stuff. I have too much of a tendency to just pay full price, and get it done with!

As for what everyone carries or cooks, I could not care less. Whatever trips their trigger.

I like the ones about "stacking" codes at Disney Shopping (or whatever they call it now--the old Disney Catalog). Yes, they are saving tons of money, but it's just too much work for me.
