Hi everyone,

Well as the title says we're off on our first trip to DLP on Wednesday - I can't believe we're actually going! I'm doing all the packing and can't believe that we need so much stuff for 4nights/5 days! It's only me, DH and DS - 21 months but our suitcases will be stuffed full.

I just wanted to ask about the drinking water in the parks, is it ok or should I get bottled water? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but my little boy doesnt drink juice!

Well any last minutes tips for us that might help us on our way? I've got loads of help and information from this board, it really has been a great help. Thankyou all.

Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

There are drinking fountains around the parks, but might be a bit hard for your son (no idea how big a 21 month kid is :rotfl: ), but you can easily refill a bottle from it.

That’s always been a good thing in Disney, lots of other theme parks don't have fountains to extract the maximum amount of cash from each guest.

Hi,

It was very hot when we were there at the beginning of September. We drank a lot of water rather than too much soft drinks.

We bought one small bottle of Evian in the morning and refilled it up at the numerous water fountains (located outside the loo's!). We shared the bottle so just carried the one bottle of water rather than 2!

Water seemed to be fine out of the water fountains and we had no adverse effects!

Saved a few quid and also I could not be bothered queueing for 15mins or so for just a wee bottle of water....let alone wasting precious Disney time!!

Worked for us!

Hope you have a magical time! :wizard:

Have a wonderful time and don't forget to post a report when you get back

Enjoy your stay

Hi Tracy

You lucky things, am soooooo jealous. Only 2 more sleeps :mickeyjum
We haven't had problems using the water but our kids were a bit older.

Have a fab time

We have just come back from DLP and went with friends who used to live in France. According to them the water is nowhere near as clean as it is in the UK and the locals do not drink it, they always buy bottled!

We have drunk it in the past but didn't this time as they were absolutely appalled that we would even consider it. As other people have said, they suffered no ill effects so who knows!? :confused3 To drink or not to drink, that is the question! :rotfl:

Whatever your decision, I hope you have a fantastic time - we certainly did! :cheer2: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :bounce: :wave2:

I'm sure the water is fine but the taste does not suit our palate so we buy bottled. Cheaper at either Esso garage beside Santa Fe or at the shop in the railway station :thumbsup2

Have a great magical trip, Tracey!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I've never noticed the drinking fountains when i've been to the restrooms. Maybe because i was in such a hurry :teeth: (to return to the attractions of course!!). one always could learn new things here.

Have a fantastic time and come back and tell us all about it. :goodvibes

Can't comment on the water I'm afraid, we're usually buying hot drinks to keep warm. :)

:cheer2: Have an amazing time! :cheer2:
I can't wait to post saying we're about to go.

About the water, we have in the past had several holidays in France (going back a while now) and at first we drank local water but it made us ill so we swapped to bottled water and had no more problems. An earlier poster was right local's only drink bottled water unless they're boiling it for hot drinks etc.
When we go, I plan on popping to Auchan to bulk buy the big bottles to fill smaller 'take around' ones with. Don't want to spend all the holiday money on expensive small size bottles.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think as for the water situation, if it was just me and DH then I probably wouldn't have given it another thought. But seeing as it's my little boy then I think we'll buy some bottled water for him, the last thing I want is him to have an upset tummy while were there!

Thanks again, see you all when I get back!
