I Can't BELIEEEEEVE I Did This!!!!!!An Oct PTR updated 9/24

It's Friday:dance3:

Well, I'm still getting out there walking and a little jogging, not much exciting on that front, although my pants were a bit tight this morning(and required me to complete some strange menouvers to stretch them before I could button them) , so obviously it hasn't been enough:confused3

Today is 26 days from my trip:cheer2: I'm getting so excited. I received an email this morning informing me that my magic bands have shipped:goodvibes

I ordered a really cute bag from Etsy the other day and am awaiting it's arrival. When I get it, I'll post a pic.

I have been modifying my plans continuously and it's annoying me. I need to just stop. Especially the solo part, it's just me and it seems wierd that I have such a schedule:sad2:.

I have decided to switch around some of my parks when solo. I was thinking that since I have the Halloween party and soiree booked on Sunday, I might not want to get up early the next morning, so Epcot is a better choice than DHS. After Epcot, I'll take the monorail over to Magic kingdom hopefully before the festival of fantasy parade, then spend the rest of the day there since I have great fastpasses for that night, so currently that's Mondays plan. For Tuesday, I will head over to DHS for the morning/afternoon, then head to Epcot for Evening food/wine stuff, I think I mentioned previously that Sugar Ray is playing Eat to the Beat that night. Mark McGrath used to be so hot. Haven't seen him in a while, so I'll let you know;)

This leaves me with Wednesday for Animal kingdom. I will unfortunately miss fantasmic this trip, since DH is coming on Wednesday and won't have a park ticket, and I hadn't realized that there isn't Fantasmic on Tuesday the 7th(park is closing at 6). Thursday, the 2nd, would be my only hope, after Ohana, but DH will never go for that, when the other option is Epcot. That's ok, I'll survive. I do find it wierd that there is no fantasmic or MSEP on that night, so Epcot will probably be oddly crowded.

Today was 27 days from my MK day with DH (on Thursday Oct 2), so I was able to schedule a fastpass for BOG. They only had two times available (11:15-11:45, 1:30-2), but I wanted the early time anyway since it fit nicely before our minetrain fastpass at 12:40.

I still have the soiree booked, but I'm not convinced I'll keep it. The reviews were decent, and if I had someone with me, I'd probably be excited about it, but I will probably feel wierd being solo. Character meals are out of my comfort zone, but I'll hold onto it for a bit longer to see some more reviews before acting hastily and being sorry later.

Ok, so, I'm back...

No, I didn't go anywhere, just absent from my PTR.

LOTS of Changes going on here. But first I'd like to point out that I'm just 16 days away:cool1::worship::banana::yay::dance3:
Persistance finally paid off and I got my Ohana reservation moved back to 7p (I really wanted 6, but I can deal with this.)

So here's where we are at now...

On Wednesday the 1st, (after my F/W and Air supply shenanagins) we have Flying fish at 7:30, then we'll probably wander the boardwalk and head to bed.

On Thursday, we have our MK morning. I hope to be back to the hotel around 1:30 for a swim and a nap. We'll head into Epcot around 5ish and try to hit a ride or two on our way through to the monorail (glad to hear Maelstrom won't be closing until Oct 5, so I gotta fit that in). Dinner is at Ohana 7p, then DH wants to go to POR to see Yehaw Bob. This wasn't on my radar, but the two previous times we stayed at POR he loved this show, so I guess we'll see it again;) Just a pain transportation wise. I guess we'll get the monorail to MK after dinner and hop a bus. Probably get a cab on the way back.

Friday is still the same, DHS in the morning and Epcot at night. I did add in the Frozen sing along instead of Voyage of Little Mermaid, I'm sure DH will be thrilled with that:rolleyes1

Saturday is the same and so is Sunday. I still have the Soiree booked, haven't made up my mind yet. I think it's worth it, just not sure about being solo for it.

Monday is where it all starts to change. This Saturday, I read that the hours and shows changed at MK for Monday and Tuesday. Disney's site doesn't show the change yet, but the travel agent calendar does. It would seem that they extended park hours for MK until 11p, and added in more MSEP. Now there are two each night, 9p and 11p. I really wanted to MK on Tuesday(love MK on my last night), but needed to see the parade, so I planned it for Monday instead. This was causing me to miss Fantasmic since it also isn't scheduled to show on Tuesday.

So now that I have fantastic fastpasses for Monday at MK, I am going to have to give them up (Mine train, Else, and parade) so that I can do MK on Tuesday, and see Fantasmic on Monday(looks like they added a second one at 9:30). I'm not cancelling these until I'm 100% sure this is true. It's just irritating to plan our trips around a schedule that is forever changing:(

So now, here is the plan....

Monday morning I'm going to go to DHS, then take a boat over to Epcot in the afternoon for Food/wine, and eat to the beat with Sugar Ray. I'll leave Epcot at night and head to DHS for the later Fantasmic.

Tuesday I'm going to go to Animal kingdom, then head to Magic kingdom in time to see the festival of fantasy parade. I was able to get a mine train fastpass for 8pm, along with two others that weren't that important. I'm not too concerned about the parade fastpass since there is an 11p parade, I'm assuming that won't be crowded. Now that I have the photopass thing, I actually would like Anna and Elsa, so I'll keep trying for that.

And finally, Wednesday, I'll head back into Epcot once I'm all packed and set to go.

Good Morning!!!

I've reached the two week point!!!!!!!!!!:banana:
Now things start to move very quickly. I have to start packing and stuff. I have already started the small things, like which bags I'll be taking, any of my Disney items, like my ears, tshirts, and pins. I have tons of lists of things not to forget like camera and phone chargers. I have a pile of DVDs I'll be bringing, these are for at night when I'm going to sleep:rolleyes1 I have Peter Pan, Tangled, Sword in the Stone, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story 3, Cinderella, and I'm sure there are more.

I got my bag from Etsy the other day. OMG, I LOVE IT:love: (I added the pins myself)

I think this will be my bag for the plane to hold my documents and ipad etc. It's a little smaller than I thought, but I think I like that better cause then I can take it in the parks with me some days.

Other days I will have my Dooney bag to keep it simple.

I also was playing with my pin collection and forgot I had ordered this Haunted mansion set when there was a sale a while back. I only like 3 of them, but love the lanyard, so I'll trade the other 5.

I also have my trip report notebook :thumbsup2

So now, I think my plans are finally final (lol, yeah right), but I am actually quite happy with them now. Disney updated their calendar yesterday to include the additional park hours and shows, so I guess that opened up more fastpasses, so I now have the Anna/Elsa one again (now for Tuesday), and I also have one for the 11p parade, which I doubt I need, but feel better for having it.

So the Monday plan as mentioned previously, was to head to DHS in the morning, Epcot in the afternoon/evening, then back to DHS at night for 9:30 fantasmic.

The Tuesday plan is to go to Animal kingdom in the morning, then head to Magic kingdom before 3 to see Festival of fantasy and stay for the night. I did schedule myself a lunch ADR at Yak/Yeti. This is very big girl of me, as I haven't ever done an ADR by myself.

I have myself convinced that I am going to cancel the Soiree for Sunday. I just haven't done it yet.

And for Wednesday, I will plan to sleep in a little, pack up/drop stuff for airport check in, then head to Epcot for a while.

I am just ecstatic with the new plan since it now allows me to fit fantasmic in, plus spend my last night in Magic kingdom.

We will be there at the same time :) We arrive on 10/4 and checkout 10/9. 10/5 is our first MNSSHP and I am excited!

Don't cancel your reservations to the sinister soiree. I have been trying for 2 tickets for the past week since our trip is last minute. I have read great reviews and think that you may regret not going. Tell you what, when we score tickets *positive thinking*, you are welcome to sit with the 2 of us. My daughter is 15 and the guys are going to Disney Quest while we enjoy the party.

Thanks for the invite! But I am going to cancel, and the reservation is for 2 people (they wouldn't let me make it for 1 and I haven't gotten around to calling to change it), so if you would like to coordinate a time, I could let you know when I cancel and you could call to try to get it right after. If my husband was still with me, I'd be going, but the more I think about it, I will feel weird there. so send me a PM. I could do anytime today.

NINE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

It seemed so far away when I booked, but now I'm getting nervous about not being ready!! I was hoping to spend a little time packing this weekend, but had too much to do that didn't involve Disney:mad:

Well, actually , one thing slightly involved Disney. My BIL and SIL (and their 10 yr old son)are headed there today and we all had dinner last night at my MILs house. She asked me for some help back in February for a May trip, but that ended up not happening. I didn't even know they booked for this week until about a month ago when my MIL mentioned it. So we got to talk about her plans.

It's just enlightening when someone who is not on the boards and "in the know" plans a trip. She did her dining reservations and fastpass bookings, but it all seems scattered. She didn't realize that Magic kingdom closes at 7 both nights they are planning to be there so they won't get to see the parade or fireworks in the park. She said it was all so overwhelming to plan. Her dining is all over the place, both nights they're in MK they are going to DTD for Dinner (house of blues and planet hollywood:sad2:), and the one night she's in DHS, she's going to 1900 park faire, so it looks like they'll miss fantasmic too. Also all her reservations are for 7 or later, which she wasn't happy about. She indicated that she got them and never looked for anything else. I didn't say too much as I didn't want to bring her down. I just mentioned if she wants to move anything around or try for earlier reservations to keep trying and things might open up while she's there (she has the app).

It really is so much for the average guest to plan. Us here on the Dis know so much and are right on top of things and don't miss a beat and it's hard to remember that everyone doesn't have that advantage (I know they could, but it's also not as important to everyone else:confused:) It was just eye opening. It was still fun talking plans with her and I'm sure they'll have a great time.

So, I have done nothing more regarding my trip and I didn't get in any runs this weekend, though I did 4 mile walk with BFF both Friday and Saturday. I'm hoping to get out and do a few miles tonight. I probably won't have a chance to do any packing today, but probably will by Thursday. I feel like I have something to do every day this week after work and it's interfering with my Disney time:headache: It really won't take me long, but I also don't want to rush it. It's all part of the fun!

OMG!!!! This time in ONE WEEK, that’s right, ONE WEEK, I’ll be driving to the airport!!!!!!:cool1:

I have such mixed feelings when it gets this close. On one hand, I’m so so so excited, but on the other, it will all be over soon and I won’t know what to do with myself. I just love the planning so much! I can always hope that DH just loves staying deluxe, and that he has such a great time that he tells me to book another trip:hyper::hyper:. A girl can dream right:cloud9:????

Not too many changes from the last update. I did give away my soiree reservation, which I am perfectly fine with. Made me feel good that a fellow Dis'er gets to go. I think I will take that $100 and go buy myself a food and wine Dooney wristlet(if there’s any left). I just love the pattern.

I started packing. Not regular clothes since I'm still wearing them, but some of my race stuff.

Here is the raw threads skirt I got earlier this year. Sorry for the sideways pic, I am having such a hard time with photobucket lately, everytime I try to modify a pic it gets stuck, so I'm afraid to fix it.

Here's the shirt I currently have planned. Pretty plain. I'm hoping to find something else at the expo. But either way, the bib will cover the front.

And here's my matching ears!

I didnt' take a pic, but my sneakers actually match too, though that was completely unintentional.

I packed a couple of Halloween shirts, though I'm not sure which I'll wear to the party. I wore the first one to the last party, so as much as I like it, I probably won't wear it again since I will be having photos taken (can't be wearing the same shirt twice!)

Oh, I came across this Halloween party photo that I think is so stinking cute, I just had to post it.

I'm hoping there are some cute shirts for sale in the parks since I'm not opposed to getting another one:rolleyes1 I missed Jack Sparrow last time, I'm planning to see him this party, so I want to look my best:love:

Other than toiletries, I really haven't gotten very far. I've thrown all of my Disney t-shirts in a pile next to the suitcase and I need to decide what I'm taking and match them up with shorts/capris. I don't wear all Disney shirts, just a few, then some regular stuff too. I probably won't pack much more before Sunday since I have to do laundry to get my shorts etc together.

TWO DAYS:cool1:

I just can't believe it's just about here. When I started planning in February it seemed like it would never get here. But now that I'm two days away, I'm so nervous. It's just til I am physically sitting at the gate in the airport. I'm afraid I'm going to forget something, the car will break down on the way to the airport, I'll hit traffic, have a fender bender. Especially since I'm by myself on the way there. But once I'm sitting at the gate, vacation begins:goodvibes

I can't believe what I almost forgot. I was so organized, printing everything out, going over the folder three times, writing lists of the things I still have to remember, etc. I packed yesterday and thought it went well. The suitcase is zipped and ready to go except for hairbrushes and makeup. Then this morning, I'm looking at the suitcase and there's a sticker around the handle from my last trip that says it was inspected, I went to take it off, and realized I completely forgot the ME luggage tags:scared1:. I have a big suitcase(which I barely could lift off the bed) and a small duffle bag that I would not be happy about having to retrieve at baggage claim and lugging with me everywhere. I couldn't even remember what I did with the tags it was so long since I've seen them. After trying to remember when I had them last, I remembered they were in my desk at work because I had to use the 12 digit number on them to book my BOG fastpass.

Rookie mistake:headache: But glad it was averted.

I never did receive my Disney movies that I ordered from DMC on Sept 8, apparently I needed to update my credit card info, and they didn't think it was important to tell me (they apparently try the card 6 times before they notifiy you, but so far had only tried 3 times). I told the customer service rep that I needed them for this week and she told me I wouldn't have them for at least two weeks. So in my annoyance, I cancelled my order (4 movies) and my membership. She just said "ok" then tried to sell me a different membership:confused: I still have plenty of movies to bring, but I really wanted the Tangled movie since mine seems to be missing at home. I'll try to go buy it before I go.

I'm not sure if I'll get back on here before I go, or if I'll even have anything to report, so this is probably goodbye for now:wizard:!
