I can do this...Karyn's journal to lose 20!

Hi Karyn,

Hope you are having a great weekend. Long John Silvers....YUM!!!!!

Keep up the good work. You are doing a great job

I wasn't going to get on the scale this morning because I ate WAY over points yesterday and TOM, but I did anyway. I really shouldn't have, because now I'm feeling bad for eating out yesterday! I am going to watch it very close this week, and hopefully by the end of the week, I'll be back where I started.

Breakfast-none...you know how Sunday mornings are at my house!

Lunch-chicken medallions ( 3 pts)
potatoes au gratin (5 pts)
green beans (0 pts)

Snack-100 calorie Oreos (2 pts)

So far, I am at 10 pts for today. I'll do a Lean Pocket or LC dinner tonight and I'll be back on track!! :flower:

Sounds like you're having a good Sunday so far! Hope it continues!

Have a great rest of the day!

I ate an early dinner because we have open house at both schools tonight. I hope that I can make it tonight without eating again!

For dinner I ate a Lean Pocket (6 pts). Didn't have any veggies to cook, so I had a banana with fat free vanilla pudding for dessert (4 pts). Stayed at 20 pts for the day. Those Lean Pockets are deceivingly filling!! You wouldn't think that something that small could fill you up for so long! Tomorrow will be a challenge with the kids at school. I'll be home all day and that is just an opportunity to snack! I hope that I can keep from eating all day! I wanted to get to the Y tomorrow, but TOM is here and I am miserable. I'll get to feeling better in a few days, and will get to the Y on a regular basis. :flower:

THE KIDS ARE AT SCHOOL!!! :cool1:  :cool1:

I am having such a quiet morning! I went to the Y and signed up for a step class and a pilates class. The step classes are on Monday and Wednesday nights and the pilates classes are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. That way I am getting some exercise in everyday! I need some results!! TOM has completely thrown my body into chaos. I feel rotten and I can't even think about exercising today. I know that getting in better shape and losing some weight will make TOM easier to deal with. I'M READY!!

I had a baked potato for breakfast/lunch (ate at 10:00), so I probably won't be hungry again until dinner. I may have a snack in a little while.

Good morning, Karyn!! I am so glad to hear that you are going to the Y! Keep up the good work!! :sunny:

Good for you on signing up for the Y classes. I bet you'll see results pretty quickly.

We all fall off sometimes, just climb back on.

You will love pilates! You will notice a difference after the first couple times. Some of the moves are a little difficult, but just stick with it and you will be surprised at how quickly you will be able to do more and more! It's a great mix with the cardio.

Don't feel guilty about your splurge day! Just get back on track and any weight you gained should be gone in a couple days. Take this from me, the weekend-weight-gainer-weekday-recovery expert!

Hi Karyn,

Good for you for signing up at the Y!

hope you are having a great Tuesday!

Keep up the great work

Guys, I am so off track. I can't seem to get back on!! I didn't even write last night. I read all of your journals, but I feel like a heathen encouraging you when I am doing so badly!! I feel so rotten because of TOM and I think that I am needing food for comfort right now. I am going to drag myself out to the Y tomorrow night for step class and get to feeling better!! I will get to journals in the morning, and try to encourage all of you as much as you have been pushing me along! I don't want to even get into what I ate today, but I am going to bite the bullet and embarass myself in front of all of you!! I am really ashamed at getting off track, but I like having someone to be accountable to. Thanks to all of you!! :love2:

Breakfast consisted of leftover spaghetti from last night. It's really good heated back up. I should have started my day better with a healthier breakfast. That was mistake #1.

Lunch-met DH at Long John Silver's. Not a good idea. I had shrimp and cole slaw. It was good, but again, I should have made a better choice. Mistake #2.

Snack-100 Calorie Oreos-probably the only good choice that I made all day!!

Dinner-baked french fries and corn. I ate about 10 fries and probably a cup of corn. I wasn't even really hungry when I ate. Mistake #3.

I have got to do better tomorrow. I am going to take Jack to school in the morning and hit journals before I eat breakfast. That way I will start out with the right frame of mind.

Karyn, at least you heated up that spaghetti! I ate a bunch of cold, leftover enchiladas for breakfast not long ago! TOM is really hard, and you have a fresh start tomorrow! Good luck you can do it!

Karyn, I do extremely BAD with leftover spaghetti. I eat it cold right out of whatever its in for pete's sake. Tomorrow is a new day, my friend. Today will just be a memory. Start fresh and you will be just fine. (((hugs)))

Karen,
You'll get back on track. You've got a great exercise plan set up. You're journaling your mistakes. Don't be embarassed - personally, I've eaten much worse and I'm sure others have too. Just keep trying!

We all slip up! Just get right back into the game! You are going to succeed! :goodvibes

You guys are the BEST!! Thank you so much for your comments. It was very hard writing in last night, but I'M BACK!! I am eating a breakfast Lean Pocket this morning and drinking water. Today will be a good day. Sometimes you have to fall on your face to move forward. That's what I am doing...moving forward. I am not going to get on the scale until next week. I have put it away! :flower:

Karyn, I am sending Iowa cyber hugs to you today. I just know you will have an awesome day!!!

Karyn- you are NOT a Heathen!! (I just love that word. My youngest DD thinks it is her middle name ;) )

At least you had the courage to list what you ate and post for all to see. I just typed in "Fell off the Wagon" and believe me it was way worse than what you did. It should have read "Fell off the wagon then the wagon backed up and ran over me" :upsidedow

Good idea to put the scale away till next week. I think you'll do great!! Today is an excellent start!!

Yeah, I got my sleeve caught in the door of the wagon and was dragged for a few miles before the wagon finally slowed down enough for me to cut myself loose! :flower:

So you didn't have the best day - it wasn't THAT bad! And you are in the right mentality to get to your step class, which is great! ::yes:: I'm glad to hear you are back on track today. Remember, one bad day will not ruin you. It's only when that one bad day turns into a bad week, which turns into a bad month... You have already stopped that crazy train, so don't fret!!!

And one trick I've learned about working out (believe me, every day about an hour before I leave work I try talking myself out of it!) is that no matter how much you don't want to do it, afterwards you will never say "Boy, I wish I wouldn't have come, it wasn't worth it". You will most likely always be glad that you dragged yourself in and got it done! :goodvibes

Hang in there, you are still doing great!
