We leave this morning for Vegas I went to flight aware and put in our flight number which up as last seen in India 6 months ago. Well. That’s not it. What am I missing. Thanks

Oops sorry I guess that would help. It’s southwest 4081. Thanks
4081 is currently enroute from MCO to Milwaukee. Pushback was 10 minutes late and it's scheduled to arrive 7 minutes late.

It then is scheduled from Milwaukee to LAS. Showing as on time.

For how to use Flight Aware, I searched for "Southwest 4081". It showed me the MCO-Milwaukee flight. I then clicked the link that said "SWA 4081 Flight Schedule".

If I just search "4081", it brings up a flight from 8 months ago.

You also can use Flight Radar 24. Enter MKE in box and then select either arrivals or departures at the bottom of page, and then select your flight from list.

Southwest is code WN. If you used the wrong code, there's no telling what airline you pulled up.

SW used to be Air Tanzania, they seem to have ceased operations during the pandemic, so maybe it was one of their flights that the OP pulled up. There was speculation on a total travel nerd forum of how much it would cost and how difficult it would be for Southwest to buy and use that flight code.

You don't even need to know the code. Type "Southwest <flight#>" or "Delta <flight#>" or "United <flight#>"

eta: FWIW, I just did a search for "SW 4081" and it picked up the Southwest flight from Milwaukee to Vegas.

You can use SWA for sites like Flight Aware and Flight Radar 24. This is getting pretty technical but there are two codes: IATA & ICAO. ATC uses ICAO codes where many airlines themselves will use IATA, especially for luggage tags.
