to replace my chair, and am I feeling it now!! It feels good..I can rock from side to side while I'm on hold. I read somewhere that you can burn 350 calories a day, while toning your abs and strengthening your core. Has anyone else done this?
 
There are 6 of us in our department and we all have one. And a number of other departments do, too. Good exercise for doing nothing!!
 
My boss did this but she could only do it for a short time every day. If she did it too long it really hurt and then she had to stop until she healed up. I think it was her back that went out, something about the ergonomics of the desk and computer and no support for her arms and back took a toll. Last time I saw her she was only doing it for 30 minutes 2x per day.

My son's school uses these in the classrooms (in place of a regular chair) starting in grade 3. The kids do a whole unit on them before they get a ball and they have to sign a contract that they will sit on them correctly or they go back to a regular chair. What is even cooler is that my neighbor owns the business that provides these to schools across the country (WittFit balls).

I think they are great for the kids!
 
I used to sit on one in front of the computer at home. It was fantastic for the back.

Unfortunately, I have a lap cat that likes to jump up when I'm on it and it became a casualty of her claw. :(
 
Well, completed one day..I started sitting on it at 7:30 am and stopped at 2:30 pm. I can say that my back feels amazing, my legs are a little sore (the good sore) and I feel...straighter??? I swear my posture improved lol. I think I will stick with it and see how it goes. I do have lower back problems, but my back actually feels a little stronger. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I think this just might work :thumbsup2

Oh no..we don't have any cats at work, but at times the employees claws are out LOLOLOL!!

Oh, I wish I could do this! However, as a teacher, I'm rarely sitting down! Great idea! :)
