A food saver. It vaccum packs food. I had asked a few weeks ago if anyone bought one and how they used it. I got one a 3 weeks ago and I wanted to let you know how it is going.
My main goal was to be able to cook and freeze small calorie controled portions for lunch. (I am a SAHM)
I am using it. I am making things like chicken stir fry or a chicken fajita type mix with veggies and mushrooms and vaccum packing it. I am measuring my portions before I freeze.
You can boil or microwave the bags.
If something is "Jucy" you have to pre- freeze it- then go back and vaccum pack it. Otherwise it will suck all the liquid into the machine.
I am also resealing things and freezing leftovers.
You can put them on a microwave plate and freeze them on the plate or in the bag.
I am also going to do measured portions of Low fat cheese- So I can grab one out of the fridge without weighing it.
(I am big into portion control right now)
Let me know if you have any questions
