Yea! I booked my Feb. 06 trip to the YC this morning. The CM asked if I wanted a room with 2 Queens or 2 Queens and a day bed. Since my kids are too big to sleep on a day bed (they never did at BWI even when smaller) I went with the 2 queens. She said both rooms are 400 sq. feet. This is different than what I read in the unofficial guide. Anyone who has stayed in these rooms shed some light here? I assumed maybe there would be an extra chair if no day bed?

Also, she said the computer would not "allow" her to place my standard view room location request which was "non-smoking, 2 queens, lakeside". She said I could request a "garden" or "parking lot" standard view. Duh.... who would ask for a parking lot view?! :rolleyes2

Well it's booked for now and I can't wait to go! :moped:

Once you receive your confirmation, call back to add your requests in the order of importance. Phone again later to confirm the record. We have found that this method works better than faxing requests.

Day beds at Yacht Club are big enough for adults. I slept on one in November and found it comfortable.

Did they have a sheet set and blankets for the day bed? I guess I am used to the little day beds at BWI that are too small for anyone other than a young child to sleep on. I think I will call back and request a room with 2 queens and a day bed.

Thanks.

We were just there in December and I'm trying to remember the exact setup as we started in a 2 queen room and then moved to a 2 queen plus daybed room. I know that that they were exactly the same size. The only difference that I can recall is the room without the daybed had an extra arm chair and the desk was situated where the daybed would be. In the daybed room, the desk was moved next to the bed closest to the balcony and therefore no extra chair. As an FYI, both my 19 year old daughter and 6' 15 year old son switched off sleeping in the daybed and it was plenty big enough for either of them. It was made up with sheets and there was extra bedding located in the closet.

There was five of us in a room with a day bed and we would switch off sleeping on it until one night I slept on it and actually preferred sleeping there by myself! Turn down service even turned the day bed down for us! It was great. It actually felt larger than a twin bed and was quite comfortable. During the day, I like having the extra seating room.

Thank you both so much for the reassurance and details, I went ahead and called CRO back and asked for a 2 queen with daybed room. She said it would be noted as a request on my ressie. My kids are almost 10 and 13 and don't want to sleep in the same bed anymore on vacations (boy and girl). This would be great.
