I booked the Swan for NYE!

Well, I plucked up the courage finally and booked the Swan. I got a good rate of $319. Its more than what I paid for POR, but I want to be close to EPCOT on NYE. Cancelling POR today. Looking forward's to Heavenly beds.

We stayed CL at Swan week of xmas-New Year 2004(teahce's rate $214). Our room on11th floor had great view of TOT at MGM. We spent NYE day and evening at MGM with live bands and dinner at Brown Derby and last of 3 Fantasmic shows with no problems. at 11:30 we decided to beat the crowds (take boat to Swan)and see the Fantasy in the sky fireworks from our room(they are amazing). In the process, we also had a great view of the ones at Epcot, except for the rotating earth ball. (ps-the dock is also a great place to see Epcot stuff and). The swan/Dolphin is a great location..try Fresh for brunch New Year's Day. PS-get your dining reservations at 90 days for NYE and they will take cc# because it it a holiday. We leave on the 31st this year to head back to Boston and will miss the festivities. Have fun.

As I understand it, the credit card policy for holidays has been discontinued.

Thanks - What will work well for us is the late checkout. We will not check in until around 6.30-7pm NYE and will need a good lie in and some wind down time on NYD. I could not justify $500 for the Beach club and was too worried about transport to/from Epcot to stay at POR. We are only there 1 night then checking in to SSR for 13 nights.

Sugarmouse, I would also like to hear how you got that rate! he Swan/Dolphin does not show any discounted rooms for NYE, even for nurses/teachers.
