I've waited so late to decide this little mini-vacation that I couldn't get the entertainment card rate. The best I could do was $189.00 pool view on Expedia. Please tell me how wonderful it's going to be!!!

Aloha Debbie,
You are going to love it, especially with FOTL! :)
It will probably be your most relaxing theme park vacation ever and you will have a hard time waiting in line in the future. ;)
Be sure to sign up for Loews First. At the rate you are paying, you should surely qualify for an upgrade and your choice of treat. :D
I wish I could afford to go back...it is terrific!

Wow, Disney Debbie:

You decided since I logged off last night!

What are your dates? I couldn't get the Ent rate for my dates also but did get a "pretty good" rate on www.Hoteldiscounts.com.

Also, just curious, where in Georgia do you live? Do you drive to Orlando?

Hi Debbie,
That was a fast decision! Way to go. You will not be disappointed. (Your family will love you even more!)
The HRH is the most beautiful hotel my family has ever stayed at (and we've been around a bit).
The FOTL is the best perk anywhere!!
You will love it, it's for sure worth $189.00!Have a great time! Patti
p.s. I love your picture
:)

Yes I did decide pretty quickly! - but I'd already waited so long I missed out on the Garden View rooms!! I was afraid to "Mickey Mouse"(hee hee) around any longer!

Robin - I live about 40 miles south of Macon - so yes we do drive. My folks live in Ocala, which is exactly 4 hours from our house - so we usually spend our travel night with them and then get up early and go to WDW. This will be our first trip to Universal in 8 years. The only other times (twice) I've gone, we've just done a day trip from the beach or tacked it on at the end of a WDW. So I haven't stayed there before or seen IOA.

We lived in Atlanta for 10 years - but moved back to small town life when our DD was old enough to start school! I probably do more up there now then I ever did when I lived there though!

I'm feeling pretty excited about it now! Where can I find some pictures? I'd like to show DD & DH.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement!! And thanks for the kind comment on the picture Patti! I was pretty proud of myself for finally figuring out how to post it - 10 months after our trip!!!

We only went to the HRH after reading about it on this forum, and we were making our first trip to Universal/IOA so wanted to have the FOTL. We had the entertainment card pool view.
The view was beautiful. The hotel was beautiful, and hip. All the worker's were in a great frame of mind. We were there 5 minutes when my 15 year old daughter, who begged to stay at the BC all week, started begging that we not leave. It was that good, that much fun. Don't feel bad about your rate. I had to leave there after 3 nights knowing I was paying over $200. more a night at the BC. What was I thinking?\Enjoy your stay.

Hi, Debbie:

So you live ALOT closer than I do, we have about a 6 to 7 hour drive, which I HAVE MADE twice! UGH! Never again! Airtran is too cheap!

BTW, Atlanta is a small town to me, I'm from New York!

As for pictures, Sherrilate posted this link yesterday of the Hard Rock's site's 360 degree videos of the hotel CLICK HERE Check them out, they're great!

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the great link Robin!

Yeah - it's not too bad a drive for us - and we get some family visits in there too. It really doesn't save us much time to fly!

I guess Atlanta does seem small compared to NY - which I love BTW!! - but if you came to my little town you'd think you were in Hooterville - and that is a pretty accurate description! But we love it here and can drive to the "big city" when we need a little culture!

Oh plleease...I can't bear to hear you complain about a 6 to 7 hour drive...tee hee hee....well that's only to Washington D.C. for me. I believe that my drive will be 22 hours or so...boy doesn't that sound like fun?

But for me...it's a great big money saver! I'd have to buy 4 air tickets for about $200.00 each. So that's gonna be ~800.00...and then because we're visiting people in Florida we'd need a rental car for about $140.00 or so a week (could be less)....but to Drive the van is ~400.00 for the 8 days which I'm splitting with my friend...and a 50.00 hotel night...and gas (which will be a big expense!) So...it'll cost me about 350.00 for transportation vs. 870.00...so that's a pretty big savings..

....unless some of you out there might help me out with some "fuzzy math"....and/or some really great deals...

Thanx,

CindyZ in CT, and Mom of 3!
