I booked a vip tour - anything I should know?

Hi everyone, I booked a vip tour for our february trip. I've read up on it a lot (as you would for any purchase of that amount) but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or things they wish they knew beforehand or things they'd do differently. I'm planning a morning/day tour after we have a sit down breakfast. I don't plan to do a sit down meal during our tour time.

Also, it's probably not right/allowed to discuss CMs by name but if anyone had an out of this world guide that you think I should request and tip handsomely please feel free to DM me.

I've done 3 tours. My advise is BE ON TIME, meaning arrive early. The tours start ON TIME!!!

I would assume a VIP tour guide starts when the guests are ready.

I imagine that the guide starts when the guests are ready, but the time starts when it's supposed to start. So if you're not there at the start time, you're still paying that hourly rate (for nothing).

Yes, they will wait for their guests to show up before beginning the tour, but they will start billing you at your chosen pick up time, so if you're 30 minutes late, you're still paying for those 30 minutes (barring any extenuating circumstances).

I wouldn't recommend requesting a particular guide by name as a first time VIP tour guest because of the chance that the guide you request is not available that day (your tour is on one of their days off or they have another tour already scheduled on that day). Instead, I suggest letting DSS know what qualities you're looking for in a guide (good with kids, energetic, likes to ride with their guests, etc.) so that they can try to match you with a guide who will be a good fit with your family.
