I booked a SWA flight--I have a couple questions...

I booked a one way flight on SWA from MSP to MCO (took the 1:40 with a stop in Chicago, but no plane change) on May 27th. It was $144 per person for the one way (plus taxes/fees). We used SWA because of the no bag fees (and I couldn't find anything less expensive by the time we each paid for one bag).

How are you guys finding lower fares? I have been checking daily, but it hasn't moved. I have heard of Ding, but have no idea what it is and how that works.

Also, do you know when they release the next batch of fares?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I was wondering...has anyone booked flights seperately for 2 people? When I put my dates and # of peeps as 2 I get $114 o/w..when I put it in as 1 person I get $89 o/w. I have booked my flight down to Orlando for $89. already was waiting for back to go down but if I can get 2 seperate at $89. I will do it...that would be 3 reservations!

I think when that happens, there is only one seat left for $89. You would need to do separate reservations to get one for $89 and the other at the higher price.

My fare went down today to $127 (from $144) but there were only three seats left. I had to call SWA to have them help me get the price adjustment since there weren't enough available discounted seats to get one for each member of our party.

I am still hoping it will drop some more. I paid $99 last time and am hoping it gets near there again. I haven't booked my return trip yet so I will be able to use any credits I can come up with.

It is not uncommon for us (family of three) to have six reservations - three on the way down three on the way back. This gives you the most flexibility in getting travel credit. Always price out the single fare first. If there is only one seat left that is $40 cheaper, I'll take it instead of getting the higher fare on all three tickets.

The only down side is trying to check in 3 separate reservations at T-24 hours.

Mickeymaker2003...Thanks I am also doing the 2 o/w just incase it goes down and I can use it towards the way back or for our July 2011 vacation.:thumbsup2. So I can call SW and see if I can get 2 seats for $89.?

brianm27...Also thanks I dont mind having three reservations..and when I do the 24hr check in as long as we get 2 isle seats we dont care if we are not together.....my dh doesnt like flying so he watches a movie with earphones....he doesnt talk.....:rotfl2 :thumbsup2 :worship:
