Let me start by saying my beautiful cat matilda gave birth with my assistance last sunday morning. Gorgeous healthy kittys 3 boys and a girl. A lovely mommy and very happy kittens. I weighed them everyday and they were putting on weight. Little girls eyes nearly open. I took herbie my siamese to the vets put my dog daisy in the kitchen and shut the door with matilda and her babies in. After abt 40 mins we returned from the vets i popped upstsirs to check on the babies to find the door open. When i looked inside i screamed with horror. All my beautiful babies spread over the bed. Dead. I was hysterical shouting for DB. Without goin into detail they had been killed but by what we do not know. I hv other cats but i dnt know how the door was open. I am absolutley distraught and cannot get tht picture out my head. Matilda is crying all the time and although better today still keeps lookin for them
This is something iv read happening but never thought it would happen to my matilda. She is a blue tortie half persian and is my shadow. Seeing her hurting like this is so upsetting. I cannot get the image i found them in out of my mind. 2 days on and all i do is cry. Trying to concentrate at work but tormented by their poor little faces and how happy they were with mom before i went out. I feel its my fault. Why is life so cruel.

That is just so awful, I'm so sorry for you  Massive hugs to you, don't know what else to day, hope Matilta is ok :grouphug:

Oh my, that is so sad and awful too, I can't imagine how distressing it must've been for you to find them like that

 thats so sad poor you and poor Matilda

How terrible for you and you will probably never work out what went wrong, take time to grieve big hug:hug:

I am so sorry to hear what happened, you must be distraught. It was not your fault, sending you some

Oh you poor thing .... what a horrible thing to happen. Please don't blame yourself :hug::hug: Nature can be cruel and it must have been an instinctive behaviour for another animal to do that. Sending

Hugs for you  This so so sad, but you loved your fur babies and took care of them so please don't blame yourself, it's not your fault! :sad2:

Oh such a shame :( Poor little things, but as others have said, please try to not blame yourself, you could never have stayed with them all through-out the whole of the day

Thankyou all for your kind words. They say time is a great healer and I am sure matilda will be over it before me. Apparently she will realise they have gone by now and today she started to play a little with her brother whom she has totally ignored for the last 6 weeks. At least I had a good nights sleep.Gp gave me some sleepers. I just wish I could rewind a week and erase those horrid visions. You are a lovely people and it is nice to share such a sad event with you all.:grouphug:

So sorry to hear of your sad news:sad2:, sending you and Matilda lots of :hug:
