-*- I blame it On the Ipod -- a November Pre Trip Report - UPDATE! 11/12

Pins...Pins...and Magical Express Update

So a few weeks ago I ordered 50 pins on ebay for $29.99 to trade at the park. We buy them on ebay in big lots so we can trade. Most of the time they are small pins that we trade for much bigger ones and sometimes we even find ones in the lot that i like. This time i only liked 2 out of the 50. One was a figment dressed as a musketeer and the other one is Doppy.

I also received the magical express booklet + yellow luggage sticker tags. However I forgot to put my Flight # on disneyworld.com I guess I can't now...right?

Talking about flight's my return home flight was delayed I believe... Hmm.

Nothing else is happening so I'll end this update here.

Hi-

Love your report so far! I never read trip reports, somehow got to yours from the Photography board. Anyway, don't feel bad if I don't come back to read any more, trip reports just aren't my thing.

But I wanted to say a couple of things about your plans.

DEFINITELY do the Segway tour at some point on your trip. We have done it twice at WDW and did one in Washington DC this summer. They are AWESOME!! You won't want to get off of it and it's so easy.

Also, at one point you asked about 2 table service credit restaurants, I would recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse -at the Yacht Club so you could walk over there on an Epcot day. Also really enjoyed Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian- easy to get to from the MK. And California Grill on the top floor of the Contemporary, again easy to get to from the MK. If you eat at the California Grill, make sure to check out their observation decks on each side of the building. Great vantage point to look out over the property and see EE, Tot, Epcot and many other things in the distance.

Have fun!

Fixes to the ADRs and Countdown Continues

So this past Tuesday (aka yesterday) I decided to see what restaurant is open for the Thursday (Nov 17) instead of the Rose and Crown. Nothing was opened (that I liked) so I decided to change a few things around.

I was hoping just to change Sunday's Corel Reef to Via Nepoli and Wednesday to something different but I ended up doing a whole lot more. lol.

I decided after 7 years of going to Disney we have not tried The Brown Derby even though I wanted to all these years. So I decided just to cancel the Thursday's Rose and Crown and booked the Sunday dinner at The Brown Derby (also cancelling out our Corel Reef). It also subsided well because of the E.M.H at Hollywood Studios on the 13th so no need to hurry. We do have an early ADR but that gives us more time on the rides when every one seems to eat the regular 5pm time or 6pm.

I also changed Monday's Yak and Yeti and Wednesday's Via Nepoli around. Monday is Via Napoli at 6:20pm and Yak and Yeti to Wednesday at 4:15pm. However, since Monday's EMH is at the Magic Kingdom my plan is to go to Via Napoli at least an hour earlier then 6:20pm to see if there are any openings at the last minute. For some reason, it always works out for us. lol. :cool1:

So on Thursday, for breakfast and lunch we are either going to use a snack credit or bring something from home to be able to get 2 counter services for dinner (1 each, even though we probably don't need all the extra food. but it gives us the feeling of a sit down table service. lol. we were able to do this last year some how but forgot how we did it. I know we had the Rose and Crown for lunch instead of dinner but we did end up with 2 counter services for dinner...

only 18 more days till Disney World. I am sorry to say I am not really looking forward to it as much as I did in the past...But we'll see.

As for the Segway Tour. Not 100% sure if i'm still going to do that because I am trying to save up for a DSLR camera. So i have decide which one to do unless i make money doing videos prior to leaving for vacation. or whatever.

I posted in someone's photography post about what camera to get (perhaps it was yours) i suggested the nikon s6000 for a simple point and shoot and gave a link to this PTR as an example of the pictures that the s6000 can take (in the intro only).

10 Day Mark + online Check in

Right now it is 8:41am, in exactly 10 days from now, at this time I will be up in the air on a jet plane (Continental) heading towards Orlando Florida.

Online-Check-in.jpg

I just conquered a Disney quest, by using online check in, in which I was successful. I also realized I forgot to cancel the Wednesday's Via Nepoli reservation so I did that was well.

I'm a little worried about the trip. But hopefully I will have fun. I have been trying to lose weight for this trip since I gained 10 lbs since the summer which was the total opposite that I wanted to do. lol. At the same time I am worried, I am getting a little more excited, but not by much. I am looking forward to seeing the Osbourne Lights (Again) and eating at the Brown Derby. This year will be our first 2 table service restaurant. Hopefully it is well worth it. :) I am also looking to pin trade with cast members for pins to add to my collection. So far I have 114 pins. lol.

I have also learned one lesson from my failed Trip repot last year... Do not rely on an ipod to journal your trip report which is why I am bringing my old Disney Journal which has lots of space to put more trip reports in. It makes me sad that I have drastically changed from the past trips to this trip.

Here is something I found:
http://www.themouseforless.com/downloads/trip/adultjournal.shtml
If you want to print it out for your trip report....

Hmm. That's about it... Oh Yeah! I will be creating a twitter account where I will be uploading tweets LIVE from Disney World... I will post the account name either in my last post here or somewhere in between now and the 13th.

7 Days to Go & Twitter

countdown7.jpg

Well, there's only 7 days to go till my Disney Trip. Part of me is looking forward to it, but 90% of me is dreading it. With my PTSD my mind is completely blank and I can literally stare at a blank wall. I can't make decisions like i used to. "Lets Go to Figment" or "Lets Go to the Magic Kingdom today." Something that small is out of my control. I can't make that decision if my life depended on it. It also makes it harder to enjoy things such as Disney World.

Anyway, with that said i'll try to tweet LIVE from Disney World on twitter. The account name to follow is Dizney86Chick. I created it last December and I forgot the password the following day. So there's not much on there itself.

Ho hum... I realized that throughout the 7-8 years we have been to Disney we have never seen the Flights of Wonder show in Animal Kingdom so that's something to look forward to...right? Other then that, right now 9:13am next week we will probably be landing in Orlando just touching down on the termac. Yippee??

1 Day Mark + Airline Check In..

597678xxs4aq3qle.jpg

This is my last update to the Pre-Trip Report as I am going to DIsney Tomorrow! :cool1: I just checked my mom and I into our airline and actually was able to change our seats from 24D and E to 10E and F. Yey-ya. That's like 2-3 rows from the door! We are flying out of Newark Airport to Orlando at 6:45am. Yey.

Am I looking forward to Disney? Sort of because my mind is 100% blank... I can't really get excited/sad/happy any more. It sucks. But I will TRY to have a good time. I am just soo aggravated all the time.

Just a reminder that I will be tweeting LIVE from WDW starting tomorrow... My twitter name is Dizney86Chick for those who was to follow me.

I am looking forward to using my new Nikon D3100 camera at Disney World. :) I got some awesome pictures at the park yesterday and can't wait to see what kind of pictures I get at Disney. :)

I started packing (sort of) yesterday. I put the stickers on the brand new luggage we bought at Kmart because one year my mom decided to wait till the last minute and of course we all know how that turned out...(She never put them on). So I put them on yesterday because we will be heading to Philadelphia today to pick up my brother. I also made a check list with the things I need/want to bring to Disney so I don't forget.

It seems like the weather will be in the 80's all week (compared to NJ's weather of 60's). So i'll be bringing my bathing suite for a change. lol. I also picked and chose all of our dinner choices so that we save time for ourselves and the wait staff. :rotfl2: What are our choices? Well you'll just have to wait till we get back (or follow my tweets: again the account name is Dizney86chick). :cool1:

We will also have a mascot to this trip to spice up the trip report...But you'll just have to wait to see who our mascot is (if you haven't read this trip prior to this change). lol.

So as you might know I won't be on disboards for about a week (lucky you). :lmao: My trip report will probably start on the 20th because i have a thanksgiving party to go to on the 19th. Busy Busy Busy...

I am soo looking forward to funnel cake as we only have funnel cake at Disney World...Once a year. Along with the famous Dolewhip...
