I believe my UT tickets are lost in the mail

Sigh. It appears my UT tickets are lost in the mail. Tracking has had no scans for eight days. It should have left New Orleans and arrived at my local post office in a day. USPS has not been of any help. My next move is to go to the post office in person. I am waiting to hear back from UT. Thankfully, our trip is a few months away so I'm not in a rush. Can y'all send me good Disney vibes that the tickets magically appear in my mailbox?!

Robo speaks the truth.

I, personally, wouldn't put my package's tracking information onto a public forum... Might want to edit that out, OP.

Thanks! UT was no help. They say it is up to me to initiate contact with the USPS to find them.

I was going to say the same. OP: no benefit to you to post the tracking number publicly (there could only be a downside).

FWIW, I've had deliveries (e.g., from Lands End) which get delivered to the US Post Office, and then take many business days to go from there to my house. I live in a smaller suburb. HTH.

A packet of our UT tickets was 'lost' in the US mail truck then found a few days later behind a box.

Thanks, hopefully they show up. I've already opened a case with USPS to try and locate them, but they are not much help at all.

A couple of months ago, I had tickets from UT that didn't show up after over two weeks. I emailed UT, and they emailed me back images of the tickets right away - including the ticket numbers - that I could use to link to MDE. They said that if I needed the physical tickets, I could go to a Guest Relations, show them the email, and they would reissue the tickets for me.

Fortunately, they arrived in the mail a couple of days later. But, it might be worth
contacting UT again.

Oh thanks!! That makes me feel much better. I am hopeful that they will show up soon!

When were they mailed? We had a package sent from FL. The tracking info kept saying delayed. I had figured it was due to ice storms and snow. It did finally get here. Hopefully your tickets show up soon.

15 days ago! I'm in Louisiana, and it scanned in Orlando, then departing New Orleans for my local post office and it never arrived.... no scans after N.O. It usually takes 3-4 days for something from FL to get here.

Yeah, that's not right. I hope they show up!

Directly from their FAQ:

I think my tickets are lost in the mail. What do I do?

Please Contact Us. When you purchase tickets from our website, we will do everything we can to ensure safe delivery of your tickets. We have several security procedures in place. In the highly unlikely event that your Disney tickets are misplaced/lost/stolen during shipment/transit, your tickets can be cancelled and new ones reissued at the parks.

Since your trip is a "few" months away, there is no need to panic at this time. You're not even at FP+ time. There is no urgency. And who contacts the shipper is based on contracts with the shipper; with amazon, the contract says that amazon deals with it (and they deal with it by re-shipping an item and trusting that eventually the lost item will probably get back to amazon). Obviously UCT's deal with USPS is that the recipient does it. But tracing an item like that is really useless, LOL. If no one is scanning it, they don't know where it is. It will appear at some time or it won't. It might get tracked some more, it might not. (we expect tracking, but it's actually an extra service that no shipper actually guarantees)

Trust Robo. UCT will help you; they just aren't going to go into panic mode *now* because there's no need to. It'll be OK. Their security measures mentioned above will kick into place when it's time.

Thanks, actually I am 18 days away from FP+ time! So I do kind of need them sooner rather than later to link them to my reservation. I'm not in panic mode yet... it is rather hard not to worry at all when something that was $1400 hasn't arrived when the scheduled delivery date has come and gone.

Can't UT give you the ticket numbers? Then you can link them in MDE and you won't even need the actual tickets, as the MB will access the tickets in your account.

This happened to me last year. I contacted UT and they were initially not very helpful, but I persisted and eventually received a phone call from their president, who was enormously helpful and kind. I did get an email with the ticket numbers, and eventually usps updated the tracking to show my tickets had checked in somewhere in NJ, which was a good 14 days after they were mailed. Tickets did arrive, clearly late, but in time to make fps. I want to blame usps for the whole mess, but it does seem that this happens somewhat regularly...

Yes.
This will completely solve the problem.
Have UT email you the numbers (and/or the photo scans) of the tickets that they mailed you.
You can enter the numbers into your MDE account and that'll be all you need, even if the actual tickets never show up (which I figure WILL eventually happen, anyway.)

I'm sure you'll get your tickets in time...in the mean time, shoot UT off an email, asking for the ticket numbers. Then you can attach them to your DME. While I fully realize that this happens all the time, when it is happening to 'you', it's an entirely different story!! Nothing ever seems quite as potentially disastrous when it's happening to others. But, when it happens to you, you start with the 'worst case scenario'....it's human nature.
So, try to relax....let UT take care of it. I've had excellent customer service from them in the past. It's the USPS that is usually at fault.
