Oh my gosh! My science teacher does that! We were studying atoms and such and she was saying how they will "loose" two electrons. Science teachers seem to always drive me insane... (I always hear about these good science teachers my friends have, which makes it worse!)

Sorry I just had to do that. Actually, you made me stop and wonder how I've been spelling things lately. When I see an error in someone else's post it doesn't bother me, but I hate posting and then noticing an error in my own.

The simple spelling errors don't bother me too much. It's the Teen Disney posts that are so completely misspelled and full of bad grammar that make me wonder. I don't want to scream though.

Edited to add: I am sure many other groups of posters have these mistakes. Also, the majority of all categories of posts are written well. I just noticed it in the Teen Dis category as I was looking at some posts.

OMG, I never heard the end of that saying with the weird is just odd part! Wish I had, that's one I have to fix all the time and without spell check, I am sure I still do it sometimes. And I'm normally pretty good at spelling, too!

My English teacher in 8th grade used to say all the time, 'a lot is two words'. That was her pet peeve...

I feel ya. At least with the simple ones, I do.

I get so tired of people spelling "dalmatian", "dalmation." When they want to argue with me over it, and I end up proving them wrong, they get all puffed up and angry *at me*, like I made them mess up or something... That's one of the ones that strikes a nerve, LOL.

I do want to add that I would never say anything to anyone here. This is a message board and we all make silly mistakes and just want to get our point across - in the quickest way possible. I certainly don't claim to be a spelling or grammatical queen.

I don't get worked up about spelling/grammar, but this thread seems like a good time to get something off my chest! It's "should've" or "should have", not "should of". That said, I know I'm no grammar or spelling whiz in any way. I'm also the punctuation bandit, I insert commas and semicolons everywhere, whether they're necessary or not!

I can't spell worth a lick I can be looking at the word and still spell it wrong Most of my post are edited because I will notice something really wrong and really easy .

I won the Baltimore city math Bee all through high school I tutored in math all my life but man I just can't get this (WORDS ) thing spelling grammer .

So from now on I will not EDIT this will be my apoligy for all my mess ups .

But I can tell you how much I spend ,how much something will cost and how many Dvc point I still have left without a calulator.
