I asked this on the Theme Park Board and did get some suggestions but thought I would also ask my CB buddies what their expert planning thoughts were.

Normally I have the 'luxury' of more days on a trip to the World, but am making a short trip to there, from early evening on Friday, June 25th to mid afternoon on Monday, June 28th, staying at the Swan.

My plan is to hop over to MK on Friday for Spectro, Wishes and an E-night (been awhile since I have done an E-night!!). My question then is mostly for Saturday and Sunday, MK again and Epcot. I was thinking of doing one on one day, the other on the next day. I did get a suggestion to slpit both parks, both days. Others have said Epcot on Saturday and MK on Sunday.

I have never been to the World at that time of the year, late June, summer heat/humidity/crowds. The latest I have been there in the early part of the year has been last week in May several times, and earliest in the later summer has been several times in mid-September. Most often, I have gone early December, right after Thanksgiving (hope this year to be my 6th time at that time).

What about crowds at MK? Saturday or Sunday? And I suppose either will be packed? Right? That seems to be my biggest question, I think, which day would be preferred for MK? Then the other day, Saturday or Sunday, would be Epcot.

My last day, Monday, till mid afternoon, I am planning on MGM most likely. Close to the resort for getting back to and on to MCO for early evening flight home :( No AK, I think I would die in the heat/humidity, hope I survive the other 3 parks. :sunny:

Sound feasible? Suggestions? What am I missing?

As a weekend tripper veteran let me offer my advice! Avoid the MK on Saturday....especially in the morning....all the locals will be in and it will be packed.

Sundays usually seem to be a good day to visit the MK...

Epcot on Saturday isn't as bad as MK..thats how Id do it.

Jungle Josh

Did they open up E-ride nights for June?? I hope so. Last I heard they were only listed for May and July

You're missing all of us by a day,an hour,in some cases minutes!!!
I'm checking in at AKL on the afternoon of the 28th,you'll be driving to MCO!!! That wicked stinks!!! And just when you found me out!! LOLOLOL ::MinnieMo

I would say probably Epcot on Saturday and MK on Sunday. For some reason, MK is PACKED on Saturdays...maybe a lot of local traffic????

Of course, if anyof the parks are packed, you can always go to the pool at your resort, or go shopping at DD and buy something nice for your lovely wife!!!!!;)

ditto on what everyone else is saying. Remember when you came to Texas in July 2000. it will be similiar to that with more humidity. I have gone in every month except April and May.

I am supposed to be there on the 27th thru July1st. Just made reservations yesterday.

PS If I see you then maybe you can give me an idea on how to write my novel "My life as a DIS lurker" LOL

Happy Thoughts to all

Dan,

We leave on the evening of June 26th. I plan on doing an E-night on Friday night the 25th, even if I have to do it alone! I kept saying I was closing MK on our last night there and the E-night thing just fits into my plans perfectly. How cool would it be to meet Diser's on my last night there and to meet the "King of all Diser's" would be so cool! Keep us posted on your plans!!

I say go for animal kingdom! There's hardly ever crowds there :) (but I am way biased toward animal kingdom :) )

tricia.

Hope you get the perfect plan worked out! :bounce: Be sure to bring lots of water in the park with you. You wouldn't want to get over heated and get sick. That wouldn't be any fun at all! :crazy2:

Never, ever, ever go to the MK on a Saturday when school's out. Period. Been there. Done that. Not doing it again.

Water, water, water. Aand eating lunch in an aircondition restaurant is a nice break from theheat.

herc.

I would also skip MK on Saturday. ::yes::

Have a fun trip! :wave2:

I don't know if there is any time of year when MK is light on Saturday:confused: Sundays can get pretty busy too, but you can start early:sunny: With Epcot, even at busy times it's just sooo big it doesn't seem so packed(although wait times for some attractions can get pretty lengthy).

What...you didn't believe us over on the Theme Park boards??!!:teeth: See, they all agree. Stay away on Sat. Been there, done that...ain't doing it again!! Nope never. But have fun no matter where you are.

Have to agree with everyone here Dan.:p AVOID Saturday's in June, July, and August!!::yes:: This is why I am thinking of not coming in any of those Months, but will BE THERE in Nov..;)

Airhead, you are too funny, LOL. :)

mt2, were you there at the DIS meet in Dallas in '00?? Looks like the 27th at MK and the 28th at MGM.

Pooh93, that would be nice to meet up with you for an E-Night. PM me and I can give you my cell number so we could meet up.

tricia, I would love to do AK, but with only 2 full days there, and with it being almost July (and not a kid I am), I think it would be best for me to go there in December. I do love AK though, the 2 tours are super.

goofy4tink, yes, I believed you guys there, LOL, but was looking to expand the ideas. :teeth:

And with all this input, looks like..........

  1. E-night on Friday
  2. Mostly Epcot on Saturday
  3. MK on Sunday
  4. MGM on Monday
  5. Home Monday evening :(
  6. Swan in between and at night :)
    [/list=1]

Thanks much, everyone, for all your input, advice and ideas, and do hope to meet up with some DIS'er while there, alway a blast that is. ::MickeyMo :hyper: ::MinnieMo
