I really hope that some of you out there can clear this all up for me.
First I was told by a CM that there is a dedicated Magical Express bus that goes from the airport directly to the Grand Floridian but thanks to the fellow diser's who were able to advise that this is not the case.

So now for the confusing part.
I have booked accomodation and tickets on the UK disney website and got a 6 digit ref number. I had read on other posts that this number is no good for making ADR's and that I need to ring Disney US to get a 12 digit number. In my conversation with the CM she told me that I can book ADR's from the UK website in which case is my 6 digit number not sufficient.

So do you book ADR's on the UK or the US website? The CM also told me that both sites are set up differently so there is no link between your details on one with the other. SO I'm afraid to make Adr's on the wrong site and potentially not get what I'm Looking For.

Phew , basically can someone steer me in the right direction for making the booking in the correct location with the correct number .
This is my first time DIYing ,now I know why it was stress free when we booked through a travel agent last time.:confused3:confused3:confused3

First of all,ME does leave from MCO but not Sanford,so it depends where you are flying to.It may stop at other Disney resorts like The Contempory and Wilderness Lodge as well, but it definatly goes to GF.
Secondly, when i did my ADRs at the beginning of this year i looked at doing it online but in the end i found it more convienient phoning them directly, mainly because they were able to advise me on the avaliable options if my first choice wasnt free.i phoned bang on 180 days.He was so helpful, gave me all my reservation numbers, good advice, and cleared up a few other matters at the same time. For me being able to have a conversation with someone about ADRs was so much more reasurring, and fun:)

I know its only a small thing(and probable a bit sad),but at the end of the coversation when they say"Have a magical day" it always makes me smile, and fill up a little.:cloud9:

Hi

If your flights are into MCO (Orlando airport) then you can get the magical express. Make sure it is added to your disney booking (free of charge) then just go to the desk at the airport and they will get you on the correct bus. The bus may call at a couple of resorts or go straight to GF.

All the scheduled airlines from the UK like BA or Virgin use MCO.

If you have chosen to fly a charter airline into Sanford then you will need to arrange your own transfer.

Call disney uk and ask for your US booking ref. I did this and they could easily give it me in one quick call.

All dining reservations are on the US disney site. The advantage of having the US ref number is you can link your room reservation to your adr's and make them for the whole trip at 180 days out.

Good luck!

Last year we took DME when staying at Wilderness Lodge, first stop was GF, next was WL.

Re the code for booking ADR's from memory I donlt think the 6 digit code will work, for this year we phoned WDW (US) and asked for our Disney booking number, which I think was 12 digits. They supplied this without any problem and we used this to book on line.

Remeber to use the discount number for calls to US, only 0.5p per min...cheaper than phoning Disney Uk ;)
